Our ED is representing the US at the G20 and @Unesco and is not impressed. The problems being discussed as difficult and insurmountable are routinely dealt with by other non cultural sectors
I have the privilege of representing the US at the 3rd thematic webinar hosted by #G20 Presidency of India and @UNESCO. Too much discussion about definitions & the need to collect data rather than action plans, results & utilizing methodologies from other sectors @icomosSDG2030
On #internationalwomensday we salute the more than 1000 women entrepreneurs who have been part of the Escala Initiative business school program and thrived in the difficult conditions of the last several years.
Our latest update from @theESCALA Initiative. Check out the amazing results for empowering marginalized women entrepreneurs. mailchi.mp/theescala.org/imp…

Today is #GivingTuesday and we want to honor who we are as a company and do our part to make the world a happier and more financially, physically and emotionally safe place. We have donated a collective $5,000 to @theESCALA @GenderSpectrum @UNICEF @FeedingAmerica @NDNrights 💙
Microfinance is not the answer. Business education and seed capital grants are. That is what ESCALA does and our data proves it works
Microfinance does nothing to create wealth for the poor or alleviate poverty. @USGAO: "the $1.1 billion budgeted by @USAID for microfinance programs from 2015 through 2018 had produced “little evidence of sustained effects.” And so much predatory lending. bloomberg.com/graphics/2022-…

The cultural heritage artists from across Eastern Africa got opportunity to have lunch prepared by a women group at Kaole #WAUTO. When you visit Bagamoyo try their meal, you won’t regret as confirmed by #CHANEA team members and supporters @theESCALA

#WAUTO Kaole is a women group that we initiated in 2018 following a support from @theESCALA. The group has continued to thrive despite the #COVID19 problem. More support is needed to empower more women for both heritage sustainability and economic growth. @LarryCoben @theESCALA
Please read and consider making a contribution @theESCALA Initiative. Our results in empowering women entrepreneurs, helping communities and preserving heritage are extraordinary. AND YOUR GIFT WILL BE MATCHED! mailchi.mp/theescala.org/imp…
