Hey guys; I had to get a new phone and it apparently lost all my old NGL messages 😞
But I have a new link, so we can start fresh!!

I’ve never seen a shorter way of summarizing a very nuanced case.
I hate this world where we know the names and faces of jurors and victims and suspects without knowing who is and isn’t guilty.
People are supposed to be protected for a reason.
Guys, I post dumb things sometimes because we all need something mindless to laugh/groan at.
It can be superior to therapy.
Also I have a very active brain and this sort of calms it down. Maybe it’s the evil sorcery.

She strangely never called back.

Why do so many movements, even begun with good intentions, fail?
They identify a sin, and propose a different sin to replace it. Then they call the more acceptable sin “progress”.
Look at feminism. It very correctly identifies past sins like abuse, rape, misogyny, and sexual harassment.
But its solutions are misogyny, consent is all that matters, promiscuity, propaganda in school, men and women are interchangeable, etc.
Yes, it did change particular societal sins! It did some good. But again, we’ve only replaced one sin with a different one. Marital rape is condemned; but sex work is praised. One sin is gone, replaced by another.
The manosphere correctly pointed out the vastly unfair legal system dads must battle through. But now it encourages men to stay single and trust no women at all.
When we replace one sin with another, it feels good to those harmed by the first sin and not by the second. But it demonstrates that the first group wanted freedom from one sin, caring little about the new sin inflicted upon a new group.
There is a strong reason that the Bible asks us to break the cycle of sin. Jesus said to turn the other cheek, not because He wanted us to be abused, but because He wanted Christians to end the cycle of sin.
There is a reason Paul said with the phronema (mindset) of the flesh, it is impossible to please God. We require the phronema (mind or worldview) of the Holy Spirit to have the ability to truly forgive and end the cycle.
One of my good friends struggled with porn, which hurt his wife, but she went off into an affair as a result. He went through hell. But because of God and returning to Christ, he was able to forgive, remarry, avoid porn, accept responsibility for his sin, and to find love again. He doesn’t blame all women for what his ex did. He even acknowledges what he did to alienate her.
This is how we end the cycle of sin.
Anyone can “fix” old sin with new sin. But believers can prevent it from flourishing.
The Cornell 7 case makes me lament what our society has taught this generation.
Yes, they all engaged in horrible activities.
But by preaching against “toxic masculinity”, we have instructed men to be passive in the face of evil. It appears only one man decided to intervene and shut down the activity. All of them should have known better, and masculine man wouldn’t have acted this way.
Also, porn infected societies tend to model porn.
It is not normal to engage in threesomes. But it IS normal in adult films.
We’ve taught boys to be afraid of women. Afraid of praising them. Dating them. Being friends. “You’re so pretty!” could be seen as harassment today.
So men and women hide from one another. And when teens/young adults feel attraction but can’t express it, they try to meet those needs on the internet.
Porn is substituting for relationships. Now sex is the prize to be won, instead of love.
I believe sex is reserved for marriage. But even I would admit that the era of high school sweethearts was better because at least it taught love and respect. Yes, some high school sweethearts also had sex. I don’t approve. But even then, it was normally a relationship. It wasn’t hookup culture. Men and women knew they were worth a loving relationship.
Now we say men and women are interchangeable. Go find a hot girl on OF, and experience what you want from her. Don’t have real relationships with women that will teach you respect.
We’ve killed the idea of men and women honoring, respecting, and loving one another by making us all the same.
Again, everyone in this case chose to sin and they’re responsible for that.
But I do strongly think that a different generation raised with the idea that men protect women and women don’t offer their bodies to anyone would have handled it better.
But again, these are the “values” we’ve allowed into our culture. And now we’re seeing the rotten fruit.
I can objectively say that this is a difficult case to prove in criminal court.
Yet I can also say morally that things like this shouldn’t be happening, period. We’ve pretended that consent is all that adults require. Consent is all that MORAL adults require, but morality isn’t magically transmitted.
She’s right; when you read the evidence, this was consensual.
Immoral, disgusting, and dangerous.
But consensual.
Here’s the better idea: don’t do drugs. Don’t have sex with strangers. Don’t have sex with several people at once. Don’t take advantage of intoxicated people.
I don’t know who needs to hear this.
But women want to have sex. Some more than men.
Some have medical/hormonal issues a doctor can help treat. A low sex drive is linked to many medical issues but that can be treated.
Generally, healthy wives desire you if you put forth at least a small amount of effort.
Women are different from men in that they need to feel safe with a man. They need security, love, and knowledge that you will be with them no matter what. And they are able to avoid sex more often from men who don’t meet these standards, but that’s because they’re the ones with a baby and they want you there to help raise it.
But desire sex? Yes. Women definitely want and desire it. They just won’t talk about it frequently. If they married you, they want to have sex with you.
If they don’t, see a doctor or a counselor.
