Bubba Day grew up in rural Kearney, Nebraska, with the dream of one day pitching in the College World Series.
His father, Damon Day, was a coach of over 20 years for the local college team, but when the University of Nebraska Kearney program was cut, it was unclear what @BubbaDay2027's future of pitching in college might look like.
This is the story of a kid from small-town America taking a leap of faith, building a relationship deeper than coaching, and getting one step closer to his ultimate goal of pitching in Omaha.
We hope you enjoy Homegrown: The Bubba Day Story.
From 80-83 mph to 89-91 mph and an @ASU_Baseball commitment. 🚀
Here's how @Rowan_Atkinson6 did it with @ph3performance ⬇️

On the mound, Rowan sat 87-89 mph in his exit bullpen.
Since heading back home, he’s been sitting 89-91 and earned a commitment to Arizona State University. 🎉

“Teams like to see progress. Teams like to see how you evolve.” 📈
It doesn’t matter if you’re a sophomore in high school or in High-A. If you look the same year over year, it's hard to project you at the next level.
John Lantigua and Craig Stem explain why development gets you noticed at every stage of the game.

Here’s how @USC_Baseball freshman @BoWhite24 went from touching 90 last spring to consistently sitting 90–92 and topping 93 mph this fall. 📈
As always, there's a work component. Bo made some excellent body composition changes over the summer, dropping about 10 lbs while adding a little lean mass to his frame.
He's merely scratched the surface, and we're looking forward to seeing what's next!

"It was kind of moving like a 2x4." 💀
@calebraymondd is an intern at Tread with a unique developmental plan. He’s already committed to UMass for 2027-28, but he’s betting on himself with a gap year of training first.
Go behind the scenes of a high-intent testing day at Tread HQ to make sure he’s on track. 📈

Aaron Ashby's threw from a 54° arm slot in 2026 (tied for 6th highest in MLB)
Ashby’s slot would predict success with a high carry four-seam, but his spin efficiency (79-83%) makes it a suboptimal pitch to build the arsenal around.
The sinker, even with relatively stock movement, becomes a unique pitch as a result of his deception and steep angles. ⬇️
Leaning into how his body wants to move (upright posture, early arm, slightly supinated release) has turned into a recipe for massive success.
