I think people forget that when you c0mm an artist, you're not just paying for a drawing. You're paying for their time, effort, process, and dedication. You're paying someone to set aside their time to create something specifically for you, and I think that should mean a lot.

This is MY go-to Pokémon hot take and people really won’t like it, but I’ve recently felt even stronger about it. I wish Meowscarada and especially Quaquaval weren’t Pokémon. They just feel like they’re from a different franchise. I know there’s a few other Pokémon like them but these designs don’t even try. They are too human with clothes and Horizons portrayed them like that even more. I think Quaq is now my least favorite Pokémon ever. If you love them that’s fine, no hate there… but man.

The rest of the franchise falls COMPLETELY flat on it's face if season 1 doesn't do a phenomenal job at setting the entire story up. Liking the other seasons over the first is completely different.
