EIP-8363 for slashing Ethereum yield is rejected from Hegotá fork. Consider the EIP dead.
The Protocol Cluster has published two new posts: Hegotá EIP Opinion Post and Tier List evaluates and grades all 62 EIPs proposed for Hegotá, providing the cluster’s first unified tier list for a network upgrade Current and Emerging Priorities covers commitments and research arcs, anchored on a quantum-resistant Ethereum L1 by Dec. 2029 Offered as one input to Hegotá scoping, roughly 60 researchers, engineers, and individual domain experts across all 9 teams in the Protocol Cluster contributed to the Hegotá tier list, providing 397 tier grades before discussing contested items live. The plan, commitments, and shared set of cluster-wide priorities covered in the companion post provide the context behind the final tier grades. The Protocol cluster will host a Reddit AMA on r/ethereum on September 16 at 2pm UTC to talk through these priorities, the Hegotá tier list, and anything else on your mind. → Submit questions ahead of time here: pad.ethereum.org/form/#/2/fo… Read the articles here: → EF Protocol - Current and Emerging Priorities: blog.ethereum.org/2026/09/07… → EF Protocol - The Hegotá EIP Opinion Post and Tier List: blog.ethereum.org/2026/09/07…

Coinbase Tokenized Stocks on Base with Aave opens a new chapter for onchain finance.
It's been a breakout year for onchain stocks. Starting with Coinbase Tokenized Stocks on @base, @aave will absorb a growing share of the liquidity behind stock-backed loans. There's a multi-trillion dollar opportunity waiting for V4.

I'm very excited about this feature: LPs can now migrate their Uniswap LP positions directly to Panoptic. Since LP positions = options (but only when deployed through Panoptic), LPs are now able to upgrade their existing LP position into one that: - Earns 20%+ more LP fees - Can be borrowed against - Earns interest on the deposited collateral - Can be used as collateral to buy options when IV is low I've always said Panoptic is like a cheat code for LPs: it unlocks the options layer, which transforms a passive LP capital into a fully-onchain portfolio-margined brokerage account.
Your @Uniswap position can do more than facilitate swaps. Stake your ETH/USDC LP position through Panoptic to keep earning swap fees while earning up to 20% more through options premiums. Same pool. Same price range. Same IL. Higher returns. Put your LP to work 👇

Aave enables to own your own lending market, fully verticalized
The @ether_fi-operated Cash instance on Aave v4 reached $120M in deposits yesterday, up from roughly $11M a week earlier. Together with Aave’s Ethereum EtherFi Spoke, the two markets now hold $169M in deposits and $52M in outstanding loans, with almost $9M of net loan originations yesterday. It's increasingly clear that credit will be the next major growth driver for EtherFi’s neobank business.

🚨BREAKING: Tether passes its FIRST ever audit, with KPMG confirming reserves beat liabilities by $6.8 BILLION. The Big Four firm issued an unqualified opinion on Tether's 2025 financials, the cleanest result an auditor can give. Under the audit: - The audit was completed under US GAAP and PCAOB standards, the same rules governing public company audits. - KPMG physically counted and inspected every individual gold bar Tether hold. - The full balance sheet was examined, covering the reserves backing $184 BILLION in USDT used by 650 MILLION people. - The opinion was issued with no reservations, exceptions, or caveats. Tether calls it the largest first ever audit in history, four years after Tether was fined $41 MILLION for misleading claims about its backing.

ngl i never saw like 80% of these folks care about ETH financial value & holders before i’ve literally spent most of my time holding ETH being told by core devs it should basically be worth nothing and is just money for gas and now they’re saying staking yield devalues ETH too much and must be eliminated i have whiplash

another great post from the eth magician's forum re; issuance reduction...make sure you are reading/posting there, and hearting the comments you agree with...."the devs" so to speak take the view that any discussion on X is illegitimate/irrelevant/they don't have time to "search" it

Instead of reducing ETH yield, EF should focus on finding new ETH burn mechanisms Part of the EIP-8361 proposal is focused on burning ETH but at the expense of yield. Instead, find how to burn more $ETH ... Monetize MEV, tax the L2s or increase tx fees for some txs. Idk. Ethereans shit on Tron, but its 'bandwidth and energy' model ends up burning loads of $TRX thus pumping price.

Replying to @dapplion
you're never going to have 100% staked ETH if you want to understand why, look at how much money people keep in checking accounts and low yield savings accounts

it’s funny how consistently almost everything the EF thinks would support healthy ETH price would actually end up tanking it they either don’t understand the market as a complex system, or at least don’t respect it as one if anything, they view the fact that ETH must exist in a free market as an inconvenient truth to maintaining the decentralization of the Ethereum network so yah, i’m not surprised people are tired of it this many years on

Incredibly excited for the launch of @TradePools!! This rollout has been absolutely insane. Degens discovered earlier versions of the smart contracts and traded over $150m in trading volume before the UI even went live This created a unique challenge where we had to update our site and indexing to support both the earlier test versions and the final versions of the contracts at the same time, which added some additional time to the launch People have used uniswap as both a launchpad and launchpad infra for over 8 years. We're excited to be building alongside all the other launchpads to move the space forward What most sets Pools.trade apart? - no added launchpad fee, just the normal protocol fee that comes with all v4 pools. This makes the launch pool way better for traders, with total spreads far lower than most launchpads - autocompounding liquidity (excited to bring this feature to normal Uniswap LPing as well) - permanently locked liquidity for all launches - two launch methods: instant launch works similar to other launchpads, and crowd launch simplifies what we built with CCA to create a fairer, more bundle resistant launch method - deep integrations and distribution: Pools has day one support across uniswap web app, wallet, trading api, all third party trading api integrations, bitget, fomo, gmgn, okx wallet, etc, with more coming online rapidly Have seen various takes claiming incorrect fee splits - to be clear the 0.25% LP fees autocompounds to the locked liquidity pool, it does not go to the uniswap team. This becomes 20% to the creator and 80% to the liquidity compounding mechanism Uniswap Labs team has been cooking hard on this one but its still in beta. We intend to ship a constant stream of upgrades and improvements from here. So please share any feedback!!
Say hello to @TradePools, a new launchpad on Robinhood Chain Launch and trade now on pools.trade

Agree
my take is that: 1) issuance is already very, very low for ETH. lower than BTC, lower than almost every other blockchain, and lower than the supply of new gold added to the market every year 2) issuance is not a primary driver of ETH price at these already low levels. demand to hold ETH as a speculative SoV and use ETH for exchange and productive purposes drives ETH price. and like it or not, staking yield has become a key factor for why people choose to buy and (crucially) hold ETH 3) consistency and predictability in ETH's issuance policy is more important to creating market confidence around ETH (and by extension, Ethereum) than perfectly optimizing issuance 4) solo/small stakers shouldn't be allowed to be priced out of the market, because if shit really ever hits the fan, you're going to need them 5) we should focus on scaling Ethereum as a network, drive much more use to the network, charge appropriate fees to use it, and allow fee burn to continue to offset some amount of the already low issuance

This 🤝 “consistency and predictability in ETH's issuance policy is more important to creating market confidence around ETH (and by extension, Ethereum)” Please no more EIPs like this, giving fuel to ETH critics and creating noise.
