🟠 Around 20 major crypto exploits were reported in September, with roughly $127 million in total value lost. The biggest hits were UXLink (~$44M) and SwissBorg (~$41M). Overall attack volume dipped from August, but hackers continued targeting DeFi protocols, cross-chain bridges, exchanges, and wallets – keeping Web3 security a critical concern.

🔸Yala – $7.64M lost – Bridge deployment exploit (abused a temporary key) enabled unauthorized stablecoin minting across chains. Peg was restored after burning illicit tokens.

🔸Griffin AI (GAIN) – $3M lost – Fake cross-chain endpoint (LayerZero peer) allowed an attacker to mint 5 billion $GAIN on BSC and dump tokens (~90% price drop). Team halted BSC trading and removed liquidity.

🎉Congrats to @savantchat securing top 6 spot in public @sherlockdefi contest, impressive! Humans x agents is the future 😎
1/5 The AI era of smart contract auditing is here. Savant.chat just secured a Top 6 spot in a public @sherlockdefi contest, outperforming dozens of expert human auditors. This is the first-ever public result where an AI has demonstrated performance on par with human experts. This changes everything.

In March, the @NethermindSec ZK audit team completed its first Noir audit, reviewing the Safe Anonymous Mail Module (SAMM) by @0xorio We brought experience from Circom, o1js, SP1, Risc-0, and Cairo to assess this Rust-inspired zkDSL. Key takeaway: @NoirLang’s language design is a standout. 🧵 1/

We’re grateful to the @NethermindSec team for their thorough audit of SAMM — our privacy-focused module for multisig management through email. Proud of what we built — and how we secured it, together.
Replying to @NethermindSec
@0xorio built the Safe Anonymous Mail Module (SAMM) to bring anonymous, ZK-powered governance to Safe multisigs. We audited its Noir circuits and privacy-focused architecture to ensure secure execution. Read the full case study: nethermind.io/blog/anonymous…

🔶7/ What’s next? We welcome community contributors to dive into our codebase, experiment with SAMM and contribute feedback or improvements. We’ll continue to be actively involved and hoping to collaborate with @SafeDAO to see SAMM becoming an official Safe module.
