We’d be much better off as a whole human species if we spent even half as much time arguing on the internet about the lives of strangers as we did going inward and simply focusing on ourselves. It’s so much easier to point the finger. Blame someone. Anyone. As long as it’s not YOU. As long as you don’t have to look yourself in the mirror. Then you’re fine. Then you’re golden. Think about it. What can you can control? Your response. That is literally it. Get ahold of yourself. You might not want to look yourself in the mirror but here’s the thing. We live in a glass house. Everyone and everything is a mirror. What is this trying to teach you? About yourself. About how you view others (and unironically how you view yourself). What you can’t stand to see in others, you really can’t stand to see in yourself. What you admire in others you admire about yourself (or the person you aspire to be). It’s never about them. It’s always about you. You vs you. Are you helping or are you hurting? Really think about it. The question is always always always always fear or love? There is no other question. Fear or love?
