I’m not one who makes friends easily. I’m not a girly girl so I always found it hard to relate to most women- while they wanted to shop, I wanted to fix a car; when they liked getting manicures, I liked going to head banger concerts.
And then I met my fellow grandmas! The son of the one on the left knocked up my daughter. My son knocked up the daughter of the one on the left. At the time two of us lived in San Diego and the other in Fort Wayne, IN.
Now we all live 3 houses from each other, we eat family dinner on Sundays together, and we vacation together. After 53 years, I found my tribe! We share our 11 kids, our 12 grandbabies, and our lives.
My husband will always be my BEST friend, but these two completed my circle and I’m so thankful for the crazy road that led us here!!

I watched Trump rally in South Carolina today on TV, and the part that stuck with me was when he went down the list of what Democrats voted against. Not one Democrat in Congress voted for the tax bill that gave us no tax on tips, no tax on overtime and tax relief for seniors on Social Security. Every single one of them said no to keeping more money in the pockets of waitresses, nurses working extra shifts and retirees living on fixed incomes.
He also talked about voter ID, proof of citizenship, securing the border and protecting girls' sports. Most Democrats stood against all of it. These are things the vast majority of Americans agree on, no matter which party they vote for. Asking someone to show who they are before they vote is just common sense. So is making sure only citizens choose our leaders.
With the midterms just days away, people need to remember who fought for them and who fought against them. The votes are on the record, and nobody should let Democrats pretend otherwise now that they want your vote.
