Accidentally stumbled upon this little medieval laneway today in the heart of #Wexford Town. It's known as Keyser's Lane; deriving from Old Norse meaning ‘lane to the quays’. Many of the old Norse towns of Ireland contain either a street/lane/hill with the word 'Keyser' in it.

Petticoat Loose was a feared supernatural woman in Waterford folklore. Many tales link her to the Comeragh Mountains, but this version, recorded in Cappoquin, takes a stranger turn. A priest had heard of the destruction she was causing at Carriglibein. 1/4
