Introducing Artist 408 | Wuper Kec 🇷🇸 Dejan Ivanović, known on the street-art scene as Wuper, is a Serbian artist born in Novi Sad, now living and working in Inđija. A graduate of Beogradska Politehnika, where he studied in the class of professor Duško Trifunović, he has been painting walls since 2007, steadily raising the quality of his work and shaping a style that is unmistakably his own. While large wall surfaces remain at the heart of his practice, since 2016 he has turned equal attention to oil painting and to the research and refinement of his technique across mediums. His work has taken him to street-art festivals both at home and internationally, earning him several awards and acknowledgements, alongside many group exhibitions and three solo shows since 2018. Dejan becomes our second artist representing Serbia in Project 195, another bold voice joining our growing global community as we bring together artists from every country on Earth. #Project195 #13AM #Art #Travel #Serb

We’ve got 25 countries left, and any one of them could become part of our Final 13 series. The Final 13 are the last thirteen countries without an artist, and we’re on a mission to find one for each. Every week we tick more off, until only thirteen remain. In the meantime, we’re running through the countries still in the running, in alphabetical order, so you can get to know each one. Next: Tajikistan 🇹🇯 Tucked into the heart of Central Asia, Tajikistan is a country shaped by mountains, with peaks covering around 93% of its land. In the east, the Pamirs, known as the “Roof of the World”, climb to Ismoil Somoni Peak at 7,495 metres, while the Pamir Highway, one of the highest international roads on Earth, winds over passes above 4,600 metres. Culture here is every bit as rich as the landscape: falak, the haunting folk songs of the Pamir region, echo through the valleys, and the silk and cotton fabrics of atlas and adras, now recognised by UNESCO, bring festivals and celebrations to life in bold colour. High passes, vivid traditions and a heritage that rings out from the peaks. Could Tajikistan be one of our Final 13? Next: Solomon Islands 🇸🇧 Scattered across the South Pacific, the Solomon Islands is a country of six major islands and nearly a thousand smaller ones, home to around seventy living languages. At its southern edge sits East Rennell, the world’s largest raised coral atoll, a UNESCO World Heritage Site whose brackish lake shelters species found nowhere else. Culture here runs on shell, song and story: strings of handmade shell money, crafted on Malaita, are still exchanged at weddings and ceremonies, while panpipe orchestras have echoed across the islands for generations.
