Beautiful afternoon/evening on the farm. Hunted my favorite field & saw 26 turkeys & many were mom's with babies which was nice to see. Discovered turquoise elf cup today which was all new to me. Beautiful fungus! Great day!
Opening day of deer season & turkey is today & it's windy w/ rain. I decided to head out anyway and the closer I got to the farm the harder it was raining so I decided it's a long season & I still have 3 months to hunt so turned around and came home!! Try again tomorrow!! 🦌🦃🐻
Been a long time since I have had a bottled beer and it was the first time I have seen bottles of Dos Equis here in many many years! Bottled beer is still as good as I remember it! 🍻🍺
I skipped over deer season and went right to ice fishing season today!! Literally can't wait to get back on the ice....the sooner the better!!
However it's gonna be a few days!

Captured a couple of pictures today of a loon feeding her baby. They stayed around our boat for close to 90 min's. Mom & Dad dove and fed the 2 youngsters non-stop and it was very enjoyable. At one point 1 of the loons swam over to about 8 ft from the boat. Great day on the lake!
1 hr in the smoker in applewood and now in to the Crock-Pot for 3 - 4 hrs. Beautiful day for smoking some pork ribs and doing some chores around the house & some yard work! 🤤🍻
Absolutely beautiful day for a walk at the farm. It was a tad warm (35 celsius, 95 fahrenheit) but so good for the mind & body. The fresh air, the smells, the songbirds make it all worth dealing with the heat. This farm is a special place. Literally blessed to have access to it!
Folks, sometimes we all just have to slow down & recognize that life is pretty damn good!
Block out the news & all of the outside noise & just enjoy the simple things in life! Tonight I am sitting here by the fire with a beer & realizing that I am a very lucky dad & husband! 🍻
Beautiful day on the lake. Water was really high & stained from all the heavy rain we have had lately but it was a tough day all around. Could not even find a few hammer handle pike for my son's friend who has never seen nor caught a pike and I tried every trick in the book 🤷♂️🎣
Something that is not done often enough is simply going out for a beer with a buddy. Nothing fancy. Just a cold beer & talking fishing & sports.
