The perfect ending for Justin Verlander.
His daughter runs out to the mound and he walks off with his family.
Feels like a movie.
He definitely has a way with words, but I would call it misdirection. The proof is in the effects for what Californians pay. Hopefully voters think deeply on that and don’t get swayed by half-truths in November.
The FOURTH largest economy in the world has the highest fuel costs, highest utility costs, highest housing costs, highest poverty rate, highest homeless rate and worst literacy rate.
At some point California democrat voters you need to ask yourselves, who does the economy benefit? It's not the working class. Quit allowing yourselves to be property of the @ca_dem and reject @GavinNewsom at all costs.
I wonder if @beyond_broke get's tired of manifesting his predictions.
JUST IN: 🇺🇸 US preparing 90-day ban on diesel exports.
The Trump administration is preparing a 90-day ban on US diesel exports as fuel prices continue to surge, with diesel averaging around $6.52 a gallon nationwide.
The goal would be to keep more diesel in the US and bring prices down in the short term.
Some officials and oil companies are pushing back on the idea. They say a ban could leave refiners with more diesel than they can sell, forcing them to cut production and potentially driving fuel prices higher.
Energy Secretary Chris Wright has publicly rejected the idea of a full export ban, saying it could send prices higher.

California families: “We’re drowning at $6.17 a gallon.”
California Republicans: “Got it.” They dropped two bills to suspend the state gas tax and give people immediate relief at the pump.
California Democrats and @GavinNewsom: “Nah. Not happening.”
And y’all think DEMOCRATS will lower gas prices!? 🤣🤣

Norway 🇳🇴 put Chinese 🇨🇳 EVs in a mine so the cars could not “see” the outside world. 🚘
They still tried to call home. 🛜
Researchers found data moving with the car switched off.
About 90% of the traffic from the car they tore down went to China.
Same country now selling cheap EVs into Canada. 🇨🇦
Cameras. Mics. Always-on modems. PRC intelligence law.
This is not a green-car debate. ♻️
It is a rolling sensor debate. 🛰️
Ottawa wants the cheap sticker price. Beijing wants the feed.

This should be the story.
The Big Ten used the correct clock to get the call right but the NCAA wants you to know they should have followed what was a previously unwritten protocol to use the clock that was wrong to get the call wrong.

Acting like it doesn’t make sense to defer to the clock on the broadcast feed is dumb. It makes sense to defer to the clock that millions of people can see, for transparency purposes.
Should networks also make sure their cameras are synched so that the clock on TV is correct? Also yes.
If you go with what the viewer is watching, then you still have two clocks that the NCAA, officials, etc. can manipulate the outcome on. Either there is an official clock or there isn't. This is moving the goalposts in the middle of a game.
"When there's a discrepancy with the clock, you have to go with what the viewer is watching"
@AaronTaylorCFB @CoachNeuheisel on the last-second clock review in Michigan’s wild finish.

💯
I get it. I didn't think there was time left watching it live because that's what NBC was telling us.
But since then, the MAC released a statement demanding transparency; the Big Ten released an explanation that included the video/audio from the review; and the MAC thanked them and agreed with the process and call.
If you're still mad, screaming conspiracy, or whatever else, you just want your bias confirmed. Opinions should evolve with facts. We haven't seen a process this transparent by a sports body, I'd say, ever, unless someone else has a better example.
Did Michigan deserve to win after that entire game? That's a different question, but man, there's no conspiracy with the call, quite the opposite in fact.
Of course, we should have known… the landslide was Trump’s fault. /sarcasm

And now wait to see the enforcement mechanisms for people going out of state trying to buy off-road tires.
Goodyear reports the new California law on replacement tires would add hundred of dollars to the cost of a set of tires. The California Energy Commission disputes that, estimating a cost increase of $6.50 per tire.
Okay, not that I trust government reporting, but let's go with it: $6.50 X 4 X average household has 2 vehicles = 52 dollars. That's a tax that hits every California resident, poor or rich. And adds to the affordability crisis in the state, created by leaders and its politicians.
California, like ammunition and guns, is trying to price you out of your legal purchases.

Hey @Sen_Alsobrooks - along with every Democrat who argues they can’t vote for the Clarity Act unless state Attorneys General are in charge of the ethics enforcement: You’re suggesting is what’s unserious.
I’ve never been shy about criticizing this President when I think he’s gotten it wrong, including on crypto policy, where I’ve pushed back on positions I believed were bad for retail investors and market integrity. But on this specific question, the Democrats’ insistence on state Attorneys General enforcement doesn’t hold up.
The CLARITY Act is federal legislation establishing a federal regulatory framework for digital assets. The Department of Justice - not fifty different state AGs with fifty different political incentives and fifty different interpretations - is the appropriate body to enforce federal law.
Handing enforcement to state AGs invites exactly the kind of inconsistent, patchwork application that makes it harder for legitimate market participants to know what the rules actually are, while opening the door to the kind of politicized targeting we’ve already seen state AGs use against industries and individuals they simply disagree with.
If Democrats are serious about consumer protection in crypto markets, they should want uniform, predictable federal enforcement - not a system where enforcement varies depending on which state you’re in and which party controls that AG’s office.
Currently, there are no restrictions on government officials issuing meme coins, NFTs, or other cryptocurrencies. FTX happened in part because of the lack of regulatory clarity in America and retail investors lost big time going offshore.
Make no mistake about it: voting no comes down to not wanting Trump to take a legislative victory lap shortly before the midterms. Period. And it’s disgusting, un-patriotic and hurts the people you’re claiming to want to protect.
