Per the video, a 71-year-old grandma says a Jeep Wrangler revved next to her at a light, so she stomped her cammed Silverado, passed him, then pulled over to find two sheriff's deputies behind her.
The best part is her logic. She insists she wasn't racing. She says the Wrangler started it and she only wanted to show him he wasn't what he thought he was. That is the most honest definition of racing I have ever heard.
Per her story, the deputy said he had to hit 95 to catch up, told her she had nothing to prove, and told her three times to take it to the drag strip. That's about the politest way a cop has ever said "we know exactly what you did."
Now the dad in me. Nobody crashed, which is the only reason I can laugh. A stoplight is not a track, and the guy who revs first is baiting you into exactly this. The grown-up move is to let him have it and go home.
I'm raising two boys. When either one gets a license, the rule is no racing, even if the other guy starts it. Especially if the other guy starts it.
