Ex-Dem city councilor Iman Osman, who resigned after catching two gun theft charges (which followed a massive meth bust at his home address), has been arrested again.
In addition to being a protected member of the Democrat Party, Osman’s brother Rilwan Osman runs MEIRS — a federally approved refugee resettlement NGO that was caught over billing Medicaid by more than $2 million.
Osman also ran a fake youth soccer league for his fellow Somali refugees, and that fake NGO allowed him to pocket $65k from the Lewiston mass shooting charity fund. The guy literally swiped money from widows and orphans.
This Democrat luminary was arrested tonight for witness tampering and violating the conditions of his bail. @MaineWireJon has been all over this story for day one while the pretend journos at the @sunjournal were busy celebrating diversity. That’s part of the reason why the Somalis of Lewiston want him dead.

The bigger revelation from the Alaska episode isn’t just that a decoy candidate was recruited. It’s that lawyers from Marc Elias’s law firm who were apparently involved in the scheme were also involved in the subsequent lawsuits aimed at challenging or suppressing the fallout.
I think the overlap between those orchestrating the operation and those litigating its aftermath deserves far more scrutiny than it’s receiving.

BREAKING: NYT reports that operatives with Democratic Alaska U.S. Senate candidate Mary Peltola’s campaign were behind the effort to find & recruit a candidate named Dan Sullivan to run against incumbent GOP Senator Dan S. Sullivan in an effort to confuse voters and peel votes from him.
Specifically, NYT says they have reviewed text messages and documents that reveal in summer 2025, a Peltola staffer received instructions from campaign staffers to find as many people named Dan Sullivan in Alaska as possible.
The staffer complied, going through voter records, and compiled a list. The operation “involved secret trips to far-flung Alaskan communities and the appearance of a mysterious Midwestern operative, who traversed the state using a fake name and made his pitch to would-be candidates over beers at brew pubs.”
Per NYT:
“The plan worked. This spring, a retired teacher from a tiny fishing village along the Alaska Panhandle, reachable only by air and sea, announced his candidacy for Senate. His name was Dan J. Sullivan.”

NEW: The company indicted for welfare fraud conspiracy yesterday (CHHC) took a $436.3k PPP loan in April 2020.
Below, I’ve plotted out the Medicaid agencies monthly income (orange) and the number of “patients” that they claim (green). As you can see, this company did not suffer any loss of business, patients or income.
PPP loan fraud was not among the charges included in the indictment unsealed yesterday by the U.S. Attorney for Maine.
