The last time India played a tri-series was the Nidahas Trophy, and everyone still remembers that iconic series and final with India vs Bangladesh.
I genuinely don’t understand why tri-series have become so rare, I find them far more competitive and exciting than useless bilateral ODI or T20I series.
Another pathetic team that has shown zero improvement in cricket over the last five years is Zimbabwe.
I don’t understand why they keep getting a proper home schedule every year, including Tests, ODIs, and T20Is and they regularly play against big teams like Australia, South Africa, and India, yet there seems to be barely any improvement in their cricket.
Meanwhile associate nations like the Netherlands, Scotland, Nepal, and even Afghanistan have made a lot progress despite getting far fewer opportunities to play against top teams and these teams look far more competitive than Zimbabwe
