Rule Number One: Never pay one year upfront for any AI subscription.
The market is moving too fast. One month is long enough.

It’s the most lucrative thing in the market right now, especially if you’re a creator on TikTok or any other short-form video platform.
I hate the fact that some mainstream creators who should be educating the youth are instead wasting time on spreading propaganda.
It’s one of the reasons why there’s such a huge disconnect between what people estimate these models can do vs. what they’re actually capable of.
Imagine this: you’re in your early 20s, and you don’t use any AI tools because you believe that it affects your critical thinking.
At max, you’ve used the free tier of GPT. Now, every single day you come across these creators talking about how dumb these models are, data centers are bad, and memes that use legacy models to showcase how dumb AI is.
On the other hand, you’re seeing companies laying off workers because of automation. So you end up believing that the corporate overlords are completely dumb, and they cannot see the mistake that they are making.
There are obviously people who might go a step further to educate themselves about the technology, beyond the mainstream propaganda. But they’re quite limited in number.
I see this sort of illiteracy a lot more in the US than in SEA or the EU.
The technology itself has been reduced to some ideological battle between the right and left, which is just terrible.

Google Omni Flash 1.2 spotted.
• 1080p & 4K output
• Frame interpolation
• Reference-based generation
• Video extension
Doesn't look like a minor update over Flash 1.1.

Victor Wembanyama scored 52.
A $10 trade on 44.5 or more was priced at 45.7x before tip-off.

Anthropic quietly injected specific instructions into its system prompt bundle.
The updated rule explicitly commands the AI:
"Do build original games, games in a genre, and games from the user's own designs and assets. Don't build a recreation of a specific existing game, even if it is renamed or called original."
A blunt prompt rule like this mostly catches people doing legit stuff.
The copyright angle is what gets me. In Bartz v. Anthropic, an internal doc described Project Panama as "our effort to destructively scan all the books in the world," codenamed "because we don't want it to be known."
Separately, before that they downloaded over 7M pirated books, which the judge said wasn't fair use, and they settled for $1.5B.
So a rule stopping users from recreating a game sits a little funny.

The anti-AI sentiment is really heating up.
Students at the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) and the National Technical Institute for the Deaf (NTID) have organized a major pushback against the university's increasing integration of AI.

Tencent’s new Hy4 doesn’t look on track to become the strongest open-weight model.
It barely beats Kimi K3.1 Pro, and the release of DeepSeek V4.1 Pro will likely relegate it to second tier.

Chinese AI models are actually goated for doing what you ask without lectures.
Recently I have had too many unpleasant experiences with frontier models. And it's not only about hitting guardrails; it just argues.
Sometimes you ask it something, and instead of a succinct response, it immediately defaults to no and lectures you on why.
tbf Chinese models have totalitarian lese majeste rules but otherwise allow you to engage in free inquiry. Western tools build ideological content restrictions around the entire omnicause.

🚨 INCOMING
The model that solved the Navier-Stokes problem is coming.
We kind of expected it; now it's confirmed: OpenAI will release a new model by the end of Tibo's 28d challenge.
It's likely timed to coincide with Fable 5.5 and Anthropic's IPO.
It will be an Astra update: GPT-6.2 Astra, possibly their new “bel” flagship. Already showing up in some people's codex Usage Analytics

The best models scored just 12%
I believe this is going to be a benchmark to keep your eyes on in the coming months.
GDPx, the successor to GDPval, is designed to measure how capable AI agents are in the fields where advanced AI is expected to create the most economic value.
The first $1 trillion in AI revenue is likely to come from high-value sectors where frontier AI can deliver significant returns, rather than being spread evenly across the economy. GDPx therefore focuses on these sectors instead of measuring AI performance across the entire economy using broad GDP or occupational classifications.
It covers 11 domains: chip design, cybersecurity, biology, finance, law, quantitative trading, recursive self-improvement (RSI), hardware design, materials science, AI alignment, and software engineering.

AI Twitter made this post blow up. Everyone assumed WhatsApp was addressing the controversy over undisclosed promotion of Kimi’s K3.1 Pro model.
Turns out, it was congratulating Kimi Antonelli on becoming F1’s youngest-ever world champion at just 20.
From a life-changing WhatsApp call to making Formula 1 history as youngest world champion at age 20.
