That “share b4 it is deleted” voice note in your family group. Was it true?
@MbuhStella learned how to find out.
Now she is teaching the next #AFFCameroon fellows to do the same.

Information manipulation in Africa is not only a local problem. It is increasingly foreign, & increasingly powered by AI.
At the #AfricaFactsSummit in Nairobi Oct 21-22, #AFFCameroon shared Cameroon’s experience in fact-checking.
Here are our key takeaways 👇

3) Platforms must be more accountable, fact-checkers & independent media need sustainable funding. Both are shrinking while the threats grow.
5/
Behind all this, journalists & civic actors face growing repression.
From Cameroon, “The Continent,” to the African continent, #AFFCameroon remains committed to building verification capacity & information resilience, with the support of local and international partners.
🌟Bonne semaine 🌟
Faites-en une semaine de preuves, pas d’opinions.
Nous ne demandons pas qui l’a dit. Nous demandons, est-ce vrai ?
#AFFCameroon
🌟 Happy new week🌟
Make it a week of evidence, not opinions.
We don’t ask who said it. We ask: is it true?
