The silence after the big announcement.
You make GM posts almost every day, and the engagement is always there.
People reply with their own “GM,” exchange greetings, drop emojis, and keep the comment section active. On the surface, everything looks good because your community appears engaged.
Then, you publish an educational post, a detailed update, or a major announcement.
Suddenly, the same people who were actively replying to your GM posts are nowhere to be found.
The post receives less engagement, fewer replies, and little conversation, even though it may contain something far more important than the post that simply said “GM.”
Have you ever stopped to ask what the problem could be?
Could it be your audience?
Could it be the way you have been presenting your content?

One thing @TheBuildersRoom and other communities taught me is that community management goes beyond just chatting with members.
It taught me the importance of responsibility, clear communication, member onboarding, and consistent engagement and that relationship that comes with understanding and clear ownership.
I learned that every announcement, follow-up, onboarding message, and community activity contributes to the overall experience of a member.
Most importantly, I learned that a good community manager doesn't just manage a community they create structure, listen to members, and help the community move forward.
I'm grateful for the experience and I know my fellow community Managers can relate and learn too
