How is Canada supposed to trust the Trump administration to honour a new agreement when it won't honour the one that's already in force? Trump signed USMCA himself and now his admin is imposing tariffs that Canada says violate it. Dishonourable... a common Trump trait. 😠

You wouldn't know it to look at him, but the man in the center of this photo was one of the toughest Jarheads ever...
In 1942 when he was only fourteen, Jacklyn "Jack" Lucas enlisted in the Marine Corps after convincing the recruiter he was seventeen.
Posted to a depot unit at Pearl Harbor, Jack was bored and wanted action, so in January of 1945, he rolled up a combat uniform under his arm, sneaked out of camp, and stowed away aboard a Naval Transport that was taking 1st Battalion, 26th Marines, 5th Marine Division to Iwo Jima.
Not knowing what to do with him, the Marine battalion commander busted Jack one rank, then assigned him as rifleman to C Company.
A few days later, Jack turned seventeen.
The day after landing on Iwo Jima, Jack dove on top of one Japanese grenade then pulled another beneath him.
The blast ripped through his body, but saved his comrades. It took twenty-one surgeries to save him, and for the rest of his life carried in his body more than two-hundred pieces of shrapnel, some large.
On October 5th, 1945, Jack Lucas received the Medal of Honor from President Harry Truman in a ceremony on the White House lawn.
He is the youngest Marine ever to receive the nations highest honor.
He then returned to high school.... as a freshman.
After college, Jack entered the Army as a Captain in the 82nd Airborne, and survived a training jump in which neither his main chute nor his reserve chute opened.
Two years before he died in 2008, Jack was honored by the Commandant of the Marine Corps, General Michael W. Hagee, who presented him with a Medal of Honor ceremonial flag at the Marine Barracks in Washington, D.C.
It was during that ceremony that this photo was taken.
God Bless You Jack. Semper Fidelis

🇮🇳 REMEMBER THIS MAN: CAPTAIN SMIT MACHCHHAR.
An Indian captain flying hundreds of people from Dubai to Tel Aviv was stabbed in his own cockpit.
Wounded, bleeding, with the aircraft plunging thousands of feet, he fought back.
Then passengers and crew did something extraordinary:
They stormed the cockpit.
They restrained the attacker.
Other pilots took control.
And that plane LANDED.
Hundreds of families got their loved ones back today because ordinary people refused to freeze when everything went wrong.
Captain Smit Machchhar — India and the whole WORLD should be proud of you. 🇮🇳
And to the passengers and crew who ran toward the danger instead of away from it:
Heroes. Every single one of you.
This is what courage looks like.

A Ruling That Can Only Be Described as Pure Evil
On Tuesday, in an unsigned emergency order that reads like a permission slip for suffering, the far-right Roberts Supreme Court cleared the way for third-country deportations. Immigrants can now be dumped in countries they have never lived in — places the U.S. itself has accused of torture and abuse — without a real chance to object.
The order lets the sadistic authoritarian Trump administration restart its Nazi-inspired rapid-removal machine: people shipped to Liberia, Equatorial Guinea, the Central African Republic, and other dumping grounds, often with little notice and no meaningful hearing. The destination is not their home. The risk is persecution, torture, and death. The Court did not bother to explain itself. The three liberal justices dissented.
This is not a technical stay. It is a green light for a policy whose whole design is to terrorize people by sending them somewhere worse than the place they fled. If cruelty were not the point, they would not need the midnight order.

🚨 A PLANE JUST WENT DOWN IN A WISCONSIN CORNFIELD…
AND THE FIRST PEOPLE TO ARRIVE DIDN’T COME IN TRUCKS.
THEY FELL FROM THE SKY. 🪂💥
A pilot flying a load of skydivers spotted the wreck a mile away.
He didn’t ask permission.
He didn’t wait for a meeting.
He didn’t hesitate.
He got on the radio and said: “I can drop jumpers RIGHT ON TOP OF THEM.”
Three skydivers — two of them former EMTs — parachuted into that field, fought through the corn, and started treating a serious head injury before ground crews even got there.
ALL FOUR PEOPLE ON THAT PLANE SURVIVED. 🇺🇸🙏
This is the America they don’t show you enough.
Regular people who see trouble and run straight at it.
God bless that pilot and every jumper who said “we’re going.” 🔥

In 1893 a man was brought into a Chicago hospital with a knife wound to the chest. There were no X-rays, no blood transfusions, no antibiotics, and opening a chest was considered a death sentence.
The surgeon opened it anyway, repaired the sac around the heart, and sewed him back up. The patient lived another twenty years.
Dr Daniel Hale Williams. He had trained as a shoemaker's apprentice and a barber before he got into medical school.
Two years before that operation he had done something arguably more important: he founded Provident Hospital, because Chicago's hospitals would not hire Black doctors and would not train Black nurses.
Provident took patients of every race and trained Black nurses from the first day. It was the first hospital of its kind in the country.
He performed the heart operation there, in his own building, because no white institution would have let him near that table.
He went on to run the Freedmen's Hospital in Washington and to co-found the National Medical Association, because the American Medical Association would not admit Black physicians.
Every institution he needed, he had to build first.

Trump just blocked the transfer of 3,000 critical air-to-surface missiles to Ukraine.
If Trump is not a Russian agent, he is certainly acting like one. His decisions are helping prolong this senseless war and leaving Ukrainian civilians more vulnerable to Russian attacks.
Trump again blocks previously agreed weapons transfers to Ukraine.
Ihor Romanenko, former Deputy Chief of the General Staff of Ukrainian Armed Forces, explains that following his conversation with Putin, Trump blocked transfer of 3,000 air-to-surface missiles intended for targeting Russia's ballistic missile launchers.

The Bureau of Land Management just proposed 17,500+ acres of public land, across six states, for more data centers.
This is the first time ever BLM has been ordered to include data centers on land it manages for the public, land used for recreation, grazing, and timber for over a century. At least 12 are now proposed across Arizona, Idaho, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, and Wyoming.
One is the Charlestown Data Center, 106 acres near Hermiston, Oregon, 7 miles from the Columbia River. It would be the first data center ever sited on federal public land in the state. And of course, the company behind it, Copia, declined to comment.
This is also Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation ceded land. Their Natural Resources Director, Eric Quaempts, has already testified that water here is foundational to fish, deer, roots, berries, and Tribal culture, and that this development could affect Treaty-protected resources. Much of eastern Oregon's summer water is already promised to other users.
So is water across the rest of the West. While BLM fast-tracks these projects, Arizona farmers are already fallowing half their fields, and a Colorado rancher sold a fifth of her herd this summer as her stock ponds ran dry. Federal officials are considering cutting Arizona, Nevada, and California's Colorado River water by 21% through 2028, just to keep the reservoirs from collapsing. Data centers are competing with these families for the same disappearing water. I don't know how anyone justifies that.
Another proposal, the Rhea Data Center, would take over 3,200 acres south of Boise, Idaho, plus 550 more for transmission lines. Four million square feet. It would also build its own natural gas power plant on-site. It sits next to Blacks Creek Reservoir, home to more than 150 bird species. Nobody knows what this will do to them, because nobody's studied it.
None of these 12 projects have gone through a full environmental review the public actually got to weigh in on. Not that it's made any difference anyway; BLM has kept moving projects forward regardless of the public comments it does receive.
I already told you about the first data center BLM ever approved on public land, this July, near Boulder City, Nevada. Boulder City already won once: a judge halted the project, ruling BLM skipped a real environmental review. Now BLM wants that ruling reversed and the project sent back to itself, without promising to do a real review, or let the public weigh in, this time either. Boulder City is fighting to keep it stopped, because it doesn't trust BLM to do this right.
This isn't a data center problem anymore. It's a pattern: take the land, take the water, skip the review, fight the lawsuit later.

🚨#BREAKING: Outrage is erupting in Jacksonville FL after a 77-YEAR-OLD man with a BROKEN ANKLE, walking with a CANE, was put in HANDCUFFS at his own warehouse...
...for leaving cat food out for 7 stray cats he's cared for for 16 YEARS since his ONLY SON passed away!!!
The charge? "Feeding raccoons."
Florida put a grieving 77-year-old father in HANDCUFFS over a bowl of cat food.
His name is Louis Abbruzze.
In 2010, Louis and his wife lost their only son, and not long after, a few stray cats started showing up around their warehouse.
They did everything right.
Trapped them.
Got them vaccinated.
Got them fixed.
Found homes for as many as they could.
But even with all of that work, seven cats stayed.
Every night for 16 YEARS, Louis has cracked the warehouse door so those cats can come in out of the weather, eat, and sleep.
"These cats are not just cats," Louis said. "They're my children."
"That's what kept my wife and I going. We found something that made us human again."
Then, about a year and a half ago, the property's HOA hired new management.
Suddenly the door had to stay shut.
Then, somebody called Florida Fish and Wildlife and said a tenant was feeding raccoons.
FWC officers came out and warned him and he was cited.
Louis says he did exactly what they told him: feed the cats, and pull the food if a raccoon shows up.
"I started doing exactly what the FWC said," he said.
AND IT GETS WORSE.
On September 15th, the officers came back.
Not with another citation. With HANDCUFFS.
"He says, 'Now turn around and put out your hands,'" Louis said.
"Cuffed me. Put my cuffs on right there. I can't walk. I've got a broken ankle. I'm walking with a cane."
They put a 77-year-old man with a cane in a car an hauled him off from his own property on a MISDEMEANOR.
He says he was treated "as a common criminal."
Meanwhile, in the same state, violent offenders walk out on no bond every single day.
But the old man with the cats? Cuffs.
LET THE MAN FEED HIS FREAKING CATS!!!!!!!

Two-plus years and segments of the Blue Ridge Parkway are still closed. Amazing that the government can tear down the East Wing of the White House and build a billion dollar ballroom faster than they can repair a road.

I’m voting for North Carolina’s native son Roy Cooper.
