Hey all introducing myself. I'm Justin, an older gamer trying to raise gamer kids. My loves are JRPGS, TRPGS and platformers. Final Fantasy, Phantasy Star, Dragon Quest, Mario, Zelda, Pikmin and others. I usually game with my boys, so come check out our thoughts as we play.

Sad to see but absolutely not a surprise. ME3 ending was crap ME:A was dog crap DA:V was absolutely horrid. They made some absolutely great games but they fell completely off.

The more I play #DQ7R the less I like it. Fine game and I'm holding it against the OG Graphics/Music 10/10 But some of the changes just feels like the soul was stripped away to "streamline things" As it's own game 8.5/10 Compared to OG 7/10 Worth it but OG is still my preferred

Tired of the stupid shit discourse these days. "you don't like the remake just play the OG, this isn't FOR you". It should be. It's the OG fans that're the reason the remake even happened. People are allowed to not like changes and to excuse them is to excuse bad development.

Eh yo @SuperRareGames just delivered my copy of @ChainedEchoes. Forgot I ordered this so that was a pleasant surprise this morning. Absolutely LOVE seeing a game with an actual manual again. Bravo guys this looks awesome.

Unicorn Overlord Director Takafumi Noma announced a new Action RPG called 'Dawngazer' Yoshimi Kudo (Elden Ring, Unicorn Overlord) will be composing the music. It's coming to Switch 2, PS5 and PC in 2028.

Maybe this is my "old man yells at Cloud" (no pun intended) but ya I agree. Pixel art is superior. Not all games need this, the art style can work. DQ7R while disappointing looks great, E33 had a great style. But I'll take this kind of pixel art over the remake trilogy any time.

You know what? Forgot a remake or a remaster. I’d rather have a Demake of Final Fantasy VII. pixel art is superior and I’m tired of pretending otherwise.

I get that other games had thingslike this. But FF doesn't. I don't gaf about the remake trilogy, it's beautiful crap imo so it's w/e to me. But I hate dumbing down or easy in mode rpgs. Grinding and growing stronger is part of the point otherwise it's just a visual novel.

Naoki Hamaguchi says FF7 Revelation will have an option at a certain point in the game to automatically raise your characters level to to recommended level to progress for those that only want to play the main story. He says he got a lot of feedback from players only wanting to play the main story in Rebirth and skip the side content, that they were under leveled and struggled. He says he wants players who want to skip the open-world experience to have a similar linear story driven experience to FF7 Remake so they will include an option that pops up at a certain point asking "Do you want to automatically raise the level to the recommended level?" I've watched a lot of Anime but the Exiled Heavy knight, might be one of the worst. I don't mind the goofy name/plot but my god the reused clips making a 26m episode only about 18 minutes of footage, and the shit terrible characters how is this even greenlit.

Watching these Ocarina of Time remake reactions. I've come to a funny conclusion. Links theme is to gaming what Rocky's theme is to movies. It's the "this shit isn't over until I say it is" theme. Love the music, love Zelda, but damn Link is a timeless hero.

Nin banks on 1 mega hit (15mill+) every 2-3 years. Just over a year, S2 has MKW ~14million, Zelda topping preorder charts, FE:FW selling out, Pokopia selling out, DK doing like 5mill in sale. It's almost like you give the fans what they want and good things happen. @Sony
