"I don't know what to say to, I don't know what to say to people anymore. I mean, all you have to do is just open your eyes. Just literally open your eyes, open your heart for one minute." "Yeah," agreed Tucker. "It's such an obvious lie. It's like who's even intimidated by that anymore?" "My point is, is like how is it possible that they're dividing us on things like that?" said Hunter. "I agree," said Tucker. This kind of messaging is a nightmare for Trump, who desperately wants to smear all criticisms of his rabid, unquestioning support for Israel as "antisemitic." He hopes that by tarring his opponents as bigots, he can distract from the fact that he started an illegal war of aggression against Iran on Israel's behalf, and now American service members are dying for a foreign country's interests. But the conversation wasn't done there. "Just take the issue of stock trading. My dad in 1972 took a vow that he would never own a stock or a bond. And he kept that vow since 1972 in over 50 years of public life," said Hunter. "And he retired from the presidency as having probably the lowest net worth of anyone that had ever entered the presidency. And meanwhile, he got tagged with this idea that he is the Biden crime family and that all of that crap. But my point being is this, is that how is it that we have not been able to pass a law?" "I couldn't agree more," said Carlson. "I know you agree, but how is it possible?" asked Hunter. "And it's not just Republicans." "Pass a law that prohibits members of Congress from trading," clarified Carlson. "Yes, of course. Yeah. I mean, it's the most common sense thing in the world and it should be in the administration too," said Hunter. "It should be anybody with the access to the most valuable insider information of all." "I totally agree," said Carlson. "And meanwhile, not only are we not passing the law, Donald Trump is selling $100,000 early access to his True Social tweets, which is just a front running for insider trading, literally in the open!" said Hunter. "And that's what I mean, the quantitative qualitative difference of Donald Trump as compared to anything I've ever experienced in politics before, is the sense that the rule of law only applies as a weapon, rather than as a prophylactic for the Constitution to be able to operate in a way in which the founders envisioned it," he added. Hunter is right that Trump is unlike anything ever witnessed before in American politics. We've had criminals in the White House before (look no further than Richard Nixon) but the sheer scale of the criminality on display right now dwarfs anything that came before. They're not even trying to hide it any more. Trump's family is running crypto scams, scoring sweetheart government contracts, and in the President's case, taking blatant bribes in the form of luxury jets.
