We’re at Piccadilly Circus LUL Stn until 19:00 if anyone’s in the area. Really busy morning so far and the generosity of people is phenomenal.
All the best,
RWS
Show me one of your most used recipe books: here’s one of mine by the amazing @chetnamakan
It’s burnt, has stains and a broken spine repaired with gaffer tape but is one of my go to recipe books. Tonight I’m making the carrot chutney to accompany letters from my wife’s veggie curry last night.

Anyone that wants to mock Katie Piper for her appearance is nothing but lowlife scum. Katie had acid thrown in her face and has endured more operations & pain than most of us can comprehend. She is beautiful inside & out, she’s courageous and an inspiration ❤️👏🏻👏🏻
Today I was fortunate to be invited to a 9/11 memorial service at Lloyds of London who lost over 300 souls in the twin towers.
It’s hard to believe this happened a quarter of a century ago, yet it still resonates & has a global impact now.
Many first responders went forwards into the unknown with one goal, to protect & preserve the lives of others in their time of need.

Here’s a very lucky iPhone shot of the partial eclipse of the Sun’s southern hemisphere in Wealdstone HA3.

World Breastfeeding Week starts today, and in Defence this conversation matters. Breastfeeding at work isn’t a luxury, but it’s a leadership responsibility that shapes retention, readiness, and the lived experience of our people.
When we make space for breastfeeding, we strengthen capability and show that modern Defence supports women without asking them to choose between serving and feeding their child.
Day 1 is about setting that tone clearly: supporting breastfeeding at work is smart, necessary, and a marker of the organisation we want to be.

Many moons ago I was fortunate enough to serve as a flight paramedic on London HEMS from July 2015 to NYE 2019.
Even though I could not join HM Armed forces because of my severe/profound hearing loss, @Ldn_Ambulance & @LDNairamb gave me the opportunities of a lifetime.
My motto is:
Barriers aren’t there to stop us, they’re an opportunity to show others we can do the same things in a different way with the same common goal.

My Mum doesn’t like flowers as it triggers her Asthma but I didn’t want her to feel left out on Mother’s Day so I gave her a bunch of Flours instead! 💃🏽🥁💥👌🏽
Merry Christmas Folks, if you’re on duty I hope it is safe shift & you can share some Christmas joy.
If you’re off I hope the cooks and chefs get some rest after cooking and everyone else enjoys their food.
Best wishes, one love, Mr & Mrs Webb-Stevens. X
Feeling grateful & humbled that @tracyniks & the @ParamedicsUK nominated me and another paramedic to attend HRH The Princess of Wales Together at Christmas Carol Service 2025.
There was also a brilliant BSL interpreter that me and other deaf people appreciated.
