NEW: The Flood Watch for Mainland South Florida is extended from 7pm to 11 pm this Monday. Additional showers are possible and with some ground saturated in spots, it could lead to standing water on roadways.

Aside from the Flood Advisory in place for the NW suburbs of Broward County, a new alert is issued for the NE suburbs until 7 pm as well. Please drive with caution.

Heavy rain persists over Broward County as of 5:45 pm. Please drive with care. Some roads are reporting standing water.

Marathon sets a record for rainfall over 24 hours. Almost 3 inches of rain reported at the airport. The old mark was just over 2 inches on this day back in 1971.
