First time for everything. I’ve never seen a Massey break a spindle until today.

Actually had to wait on a train hauling grain last nite. First time this harvest. A real world sign of slowing economic activity.

Perfect example of socialism. Always trying to control and tear somebody down. No bigger asshole out there than Eby.
WATCH: David Eby doubles down on Jim Pattison comments - as a former NDP premier accuses Eby of "denigrating an icon". #bcpoli @GlobalBC @CUrquhartGlobal

President Trump has retaliated against Canada in the escalating trade war, banning certain ag products from importation. In a series of proclamations signed yesterday afternoon, the President banned Canadian whey, molasses, alcohol, and motorcycles from importation to the U.S.

I’m embarrassed how many Canadian politicians have no clue how an economy works.

PTO and driveline manufacture companies could do much more to make the shielding both protective and serviceable. I think this is the biggest reason they’re removed.

Wow
This same premier is paying $800,000/year for a U.S. trade rep in Washington who’s secured zero deals for Manitoba. Manitobans are begging you to get serious, Premier Kinew.

In a late and lengthy private session with mayor and council on July 22nd, the executive director of Regina’s Globe Theatre, Oz Weaver, requested a $1,380,000 grant for the theatre to meet payables and urgent obligations. The Globe is citing significant cash flow pressures resulting from their major renovation of the historic, 119 year old Prince Edward Building. The initial renovation cost was budgeted at $29M but later exceeded $48M. Of that the federal and provincial governments contributed nearly $20M and the city contributed over $8.5M. The Globe additionally receives $128k annually through the city’s community grant program. The Globe states they have depleted their cash reserves and without the immediate financial support of a $1.38M grant it will “begin an orderly shutdown or significant reduction in operations.” In total, they require roughly $16.3 million to pay off all outstanding debts and payables. In addition to the $1.38M grant from Regina, the Globe is working to secure $12M from the federal government. It also has another roughly $2.9 million confirmed or pledged from fundraising, sponsorships, consultant cost reductions, and confirmed gift payments. City administration is recommending the $1.38M grant be drawn from the city’s General Fund Reserve. The reserve has a current balance of $21.3M, which is already a full $14.5M below its minimum balance. Mayor and council will deliberate the grant request in an upcoming meeting on Wednesday, July 29th.

He also mentioned Sask potash. So his response to US tariffs killing Canadian jobs is to kill western Cdn jobs? The cost of the retaliatory trade war he demands would be born by western Cdn industries and workers. No sir.
