The decision from goalkeeper Owono to rush out out near the halfway line and fly wildly into that challenge on Jesús de Miguel was utterly reckless, indefensible, and has now resulted in an absolute tragedy.
There is zero excuse for a keeper coming out with that level of force outside his box.
A terrible, reckless decision on the pitch that has cost a 30-year-old footballer his life.
Devastating news for CD Tenerife and Spanish football.
Rest in peace, Jesús de Miguel.
Terrible news from Spain: Tenerife player Jesus de Miguel has sadly passed away.
The striker has could not overcome the serious consequences of the incident suffered during the match against FC Andorra.
A devastating loss for Tenerife and whole football world.
Prayers and thoughtd go out to his family, friends, teammates, and everyone at CD Tenerife during this difficult time.
Rest in peace. 🕊️
