Am I missing something here? These phones are now available on major quick-commerce platforms. You can literally sit on your sofa and get one delivered in 10–15 minutes.
So why are people still lining up overnight and rushing to stores on Day 1?
Is it really about getting the phone first… or just getting that first-day photo/video outside the Apple Store?

Jiska darr tha, wahi hua… UPI par charges officially aa gaye. Abhi ₹2,000 se upar merchant payments par fee lagegi, aur technically merchant ko pay karni hai. But honestly, mujhe nahi lagta yeh cost hamesha merchant hi absorb karega.
Aaj merchant pay karega. Kal convenience fee ke naam pe hum customers bhi pay karenge.
UPI free tha, isi liye India mein itna explode hua. I have a feeling ki agle 6 months mein hum active UPI usage mein thoda slowdown dekh sakte hain… especially higher-value payments mein.

National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI): A revised UPI Merchant Discount Rate (MDR) framework will take effect on select merchant (P2M) transactions starting October 15, 2026, while keeping UPI completely free of cost for consumers and all transactions up to ₹2,000. Under the new rules, small merchants earning up to ₹1 lakh per month via QR codes will pay zero MDR, a flat ₹5 fee will apply to transactions above ₹2,000 in specific categories like railways and fuel, and other high-value P2M transactions will attract a 0.4% charge capped at ₹300. The initiative also introduces a dedicated fund to upgrade digital payment infrastructure for small vendors and Tier 3 markets.
No impact on small-value UPI transactions up to ₹2,000 for all merchants, which account for more than 95% of all UPI P2M transactions.

Tim Cook may not be remembered as the guy who reinvented Apple. But I think his biggest achievement was something equally difficult: scaling Apple without breaking it.
When he took over in 2011, Apple was worth roughly $350B and did around $108B in annual revenue. He leaves behind a company worth nearly $4T, doing over $400B in revenue and more than $100B in profit. That level of scale, while keeping the brand, ecosystem and customer loyalty intact, is honestly remarkable.
One thing did surprise me though🤔
I didn’t see many major smartphone CEOs publicly congratulate him other than Sundar Pichai, CEO of Google.
For someone who shaped the smartphone industry for 15 years, I expected a little more acknowledgement from the people who competed and even got inspired (they might not agree) by him..

I’ve been seeing these humanoid robot videos from China all over my feed for the last few days. And... It's exciting and scary in equal measure!!!
At first, honestly, I thought some of them were edited.
Robots sprinting, doing kung fu, dancing, lifting weights… and then getting carried away on stretchers after crashing 😅
But the progress behind these videos is actually crazy.
Of course, they still fail spectacularly 😂
Some finish a sprint and cannot stop. Some fall while lifting weights. Some overheat.
And yes, some literally get carried away on stretchers.
So no, humanoid robots are not “solved” yet.

This story from my own home state has been bothering me since morning.
An 18-year-old allegedly had a dispute at home over an iPhone / its EMI. Hours later, he and both his parents were gone.
Obviously, an iPhone is not the real problem here. But I do wonder what we’re doing to young people when a ₹70–80K phone starts feeling like something you must have… even when you can’t afford it.
Social media constantly shows teenagers what others own, wear and drive. EMIs then make everything look affordable.
The combination of aspiration, comparison and easy credit can become dangerous. No gadget, status symbol or social pressure is worth a life.
Ever opened Reels for “5 minutes”... and suddenly 45 minutes are gone?
Scientists just put people inside a brain scanner to understand WHY this happens.

Here’s the fascinating part.
Not everyone’s brain responded the same way.
People with higher resting glutamate levels in one of these control regions showed LESS suppression while watching.
So our brains may differ in how strongly they resist getting absorbed into the feed.
This does NOT mean Reels or Shorts permanently damage your brain.
But it does explain something we’ve all experienced:
The better the video gets, the harder it can feel to leave.
Maybe “just one more Reel” was never as simple as we thought.
