Arapahoe Basin will become the first ski resort in North America to open their doors for the 2026-27 ski season at 11am today! Colorado's had at least one ski resort open in October each year since 1992. Last weekend's snow helps A-Basin get on the board first in '26-'27. #COwx

NEW: Mandatory evacuations in/near downtown Pagosa Springs, where 2"+ of rain has fallen in the last 48 hours. Evacuations are ongoing along the San Juan, Rio Blanco, Navajo, and Piedra Rivers. More rain likely tonight before it finally ends tomorrow morning. #COwx
