Quick recap from tonight's Allegheny County Council meeting:
County Executive Sara Innamorato introduced her proposed 2027 budget, which includes no tax increase and no layoffs. I'll be combing through it to make sure every $ is used in a way that best benefits County taxpayers.
The County Executive also introduced her administration's proposed parental leave policy. It now heads to the Health and Human Services Committee, with a vote expected at Council's October 20th meeting.
It was an honor to join Allegheny County Budo-kai in their dojo and present them with a proclamation in honor of 40 years training at South Park!
Yesterday, the board of health passed their proposed parental leave program, and it now heads to Council. If you live in D5 (BP, Dormont, Lebo, and USC) and would like to share your thoughts with me, please email me at [email protected].
