Atlanta Community Food Bank

When our @AWMHFoundation promotes the idea of giving back, that means more than monetary donations. A huge part of giving back involves donating your time. The #MetallicaFamily acted as a shining example of that throughout the North American run of the #M72 World Tour. Check out how you helped communities we visited these past few months! In the name of #AWMH, volunteers packed, produced, or distributed… 🍎 1,210 bags of food at @FoodBankofCNY during #M72Syracuse. 🍽️ 11,200 meals for Second Harvest of Middle Tennesse during #M72Nashville. 📦 4,700 lbs. of boxes filled with food and other essentials at @FeedingSWVA during #M72VirginiaTech. 🎒 2,000 breakfasts at @Philabundance for local kids during #M72Philly. 🥪 680 boxes of food at @foodbankmetrodc for the elderly members of the community during #M72Landover. 🥗 31,000 meals for local residents via @shmetrolina during #M72Charlotte. 🍑 6 tons of food at @ACFB during #M72ATL. 🍊 4,755 lbs of food at @FeedingTampaBay, which provided 3,962 meals to the community during #M72Tampa. 🛍️ 200 summer breakfast & lunch grocery bags, and sorted through 8,400 lbs of donated food products at @TargetHunger during #M72Houston. 🍞 6,000 meals to be distributed through Loaves & Fishes, as well as 200 medically tailored grocery bags for those facing chronic health conditions during #M72SantaClara. 🍝 35,000 servings of food to 350 families who visited We Don’t Waste during #M72Denver. From the bottom of our hearts, THANK YOU to everyone who dedicated energy to giving back to our #M72 grant recipients with us! As always, there’s more where that came from; be on the lookout for more volunteer opportunities coming soon. #Metallica #MetallicaGivesBack #MetallicaFamilyGivesBack #TourGrantTuesday

Our visit to Mercedes-Benz Stadium for #M72ATL allowed @AWMHFoundation the opportunity to give back to two awesome local nonprofits helping their communities tackle food insecurity and provide critical local services: @ACFB and @OurHouseGA. Special thanks to our #MetallicaFamily volunteers who donated their time for a shift at Atlanta Community Food Bank, packing nearly 12,000 lbs. of food through the USDA’s Commodity Supplemental Food Program. Additional thanks to our friends at @Carhartt for providing our volunteers with the exclusive M72 X AWMH Brite Orange Knit Cuffed Beanies!
