Cecil E. Cook has been located. Thank you for your assistance in sharing this information with the community.
He was last seen in Albemarle County on Saturday, October 17, 2026, near Villa Lane and may have traveled to the Arlington/Washington, D.C., area on Sunday, October 18, 2026. Cook has not returned home, and investigators are concerned about his well-being.
Anyone with information on his location is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 434-977-4000. Callers may remain anonymous.

** Information Release **
The Albemarle County Police Department (ACPD) has charged a New Jersey woman with involuntary manslaughter following a multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 64 on Tuesday, October 27, 2026.
The driver of the vehicle was transported to UVA Health in serious condition and later succumbed to the injuries sustained in the crash. The driver has been identified as 58-year-old Sally Tripp of Fishersville, Va.
