POWER TO THE PEOPLE! ✊🏾💚
I congratulate @FoNNaPKenya, @justact_kenya, @GreenBeltMovmnt , and the 4,642 patriotic environmental champions who stood up against state-backed ecocide. They have secured a 4-month court halt against the commercial destruction of Nairobi National Park. This is a monumental triumph of constitutionalism over executive lawlessness.
Our constitution is clear: Article 42 guarantees every Kenyan the right to a clean and healthy environment, while Article 69 imposes a mandatory obligation on the State to eliminate activities likely to endanger the environment. When the Ruto regime treats these sacred provisions as optional suggestions, it is the citizens who must enforce the law.
I celebrate and salute the brave young Kenyans who braved tear gas, defied unlawful arrests, and stared down rogue police forces just to deliver a public petition to Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) and plant trees. Your courage is the bedrock of our democracy. To the @KWSKenya Board and management: decouple yourselves from state capture. Stop pandering to the narrow, temporal whims of a corrupt executive and return to absolute fidelity to the Constitution.
The hypocrisy of this regime is staggering. William Ruto poses globally as Africa’s premier climate champion—spending a staggering 1.45 billion shillings on climate-related trips — while simultaneously desertifying Kenya, destroying our forests, and encroaching on the globally unique Nairobi National Park for speculative commercial infrastructure. You cannot preach emission reductions in New York while overseeing the decimation of critical carbon sinks in Nairobi.
Nairobi National Park is not empty land waiting for a parking lot or a concrete conference hall. It is part of our critical national infrastructure. Beyond drawing global tourism, it is the literal lungs of our capital, providing essential air purification, micro-climate regulation, flood mitigation, and water catchment management for millions of citizens.
As the first former Chief Justice to run for President, and as your Green Candidate in this election, I promise you that my administration will never trade our ecological heritage for short-term political gimmicks. My presidency will usher in a clean break from this toxic status quo, focusing on two foundational pillars: resetting to Ukatiba (constitutionalism) and restoring Utu (human dignity) through deep reforms, including of our National Police Service.
I will not relent.
Our alternative agenda will Green Leap Kenya into the sustainability capital through a comprehensive Ecosystem Restoration Programme designed to transform our economy:-
• Green Job Creation: By shifting investments into a just transition, ecosystem restoration, and sustainable forestry, we will generate millions of new, dignified green jobs within 5 years for our disenfranchised, unemployed youths.
• Agro-Ecological Revolution: We will completely overhaul our agricultural sector through climate-resilient, organic farming methods and localized value chains to guarantee absolute food sovereignty.
• Clean Energy Unlocked: We will halt and reject fossil fuel traps like the Lamu oil refinery project. Instead, we will aggressively unlock Kenya's massive 290,000 MW clean energy potential across geothermal, solar, wind, and green hydrogen.
We will position Kenya as the true climate capital of the world, leveraging our unique status as the proud host of the @UNEP, the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP).
To all Kenyans: do not relent. Let this victory remind you that all sovereign power belongs to you. Organize local, citizen-led actions in your communities. We have won this battle, but the war to protect our future continues. Today we celebrate, tomorrow we protect our future.
God bless you, and God bless Kenya.

Good.
The treatment of Kenyans seeking visas to Nigeria is unacceptable. While we extend visa free entry to Nigerian citizens, this is not reciprocated. The inconvenience suffered by Kenyans is unwarranted. We are pursuing the remedying of this situation with vigor at diplomatic and political levels. @KenyaHC_Nigeria @NigeriaMFA

It’s been two years since we launched DKL in October 2024 — barely five months after breaking ground from scratch in May 2024.
Back then we embraced the “Chak-a-Chak-a” spirit of the Luo saying (just begin) even though we were barely ready with everything new including personnel, infrastructure, equipment and systems that we needed to put in place let alone zero clientele or accounts.
🎞️ This video tells our story of how far and how fast we’ve come to establish ourselves as @DKLDrKalebiLabs in just two years becoming a leading laboratory and a new household name in Kenya and the region.
#DKLAtTwo Alhamdulillah 🤲🏾

From starting from scratch to building a fully digital, paperless laboratory — with total lab automation, AI-integrated workflows, ISO 15189 accreditation and a broad range of advanced diagnostic tests — our first two years have given us much to celebrate.
At the heart of this journey is our team. Our vibrant Gen Z staff bring energy, fresh ideas and a willingness to learn, unlearn and relearn. Their dedication helps make DKL what it is every day.
In this special three-minute anniversary video, our Founder, Principal Pathologist and Executive Chairman, Dr Ahmed Kalebi,@DrAhmedKalebi and some of the DKL team members share how we began, what sets us apart and our ambitions for the future.
To our patients, referring clinicians, partner facilities, insurers and everyone who has trusted and supported us — Shukran!
To our staff, management and investors — thank you for building DKL together ❤️💛

There has been a lot of conversation about Parliament and the livestreaming of election results. So, what exactly is happening?
-In 2024, the Senate passed the Elections (Amendment) (No. 2) Bill, which proposed changes to Section 39 of the Elections Act. This section deals with how election results are determined, transmitted and declared.
-Clause 22 of the Senate's Bill proposed replacing the existing Section 39. In the proposed replacement, the specific requirement for IEBC to establish a mechanism for livestreaming results announced at polling stations was missing.
-Livestreaming allows Kenyans to watch results being announced at polling stations in real time. It gives the public another way to follow the process and compare what is announced with the results transmitted and published.
-Electronic transmission of results is important, but it is not the same as livestreaming. One sends results electronically; the other allows the public to watch the announcement as it happens.
-On 22 October 2026, the National Assembly deleted Clause 22 altogether. In its official clarification, Parliament said this preserved the existing Section 39, including the requirement for IEBC to establish a mechanism for livestreaming results announced at polling stations.
-According to the National Assembly's clarification, the provision remains under the version passed by the House. However, the Bill must still go through the remaining legislative process before it becomes law.
Transparency must be built into the electoral process, not left to assumptions.
Kenyans must also be able to follow how votes are counted, how results are verified and how the final outcome is declared.
As we approach the 2027 General Election, we must pay attention to the laws governing our elections and demand clarity whenever changes are proposed.
An informed public is an essential part of an accountable democracy. #VIP
