Today’s shadow docket Supreme Court decision allowing DHS and Social Security to build a mega database is a bad ruling. But even the Court's MAGA supermajority was clear that it does not give Donald Trump the ability to conduct sweeping voter purges ahead of the 2026 election. Federal law prohibits systematic voter-roll purges within 90 days of an election.
