The recent security incident has put Binance through a serious challenge. But moments like these also show the importance of transparency, responsibility, and the strength of a global community.
According to Binance’s official update, the company has reserved more than $6.34 billion in company funds to cover the estimated impact of the incident.
Here is what the announced figures tell us:
→ $5 billion is already held in the exact affected tokens.
→ The remaining $1.34 billion is being purchased through market and OTC channels.
→ Approximately $3 billion in assets has been frozen on-chain through cooperation with partners and relevant organizations. This is separate from the $6.34 billion reserve.
→ Binance has also committed to providing public verification through its Proof of Reserves after the necessary remediation.
These numbers represent a significant financial commitment, but the real test will be how effectively Binance completes the recovery process and maintains transparency with its users.
And this is where community support matters.

I want to speak to you directly about what happened.
Bottom line - your money is safe, and we're covering every loss.
Our initial investigation suggests this security incident may have started with a compromised DevOps engineer's laptop. That gave an attacker access to a service container, where they submitted unauthorized withdrawal transactions.
To be clear: the attacker did not simply use one engineer's permissions, and this was not a single "one-click" action. It involved a more complex attack process. Our investigation has not attributed responsibility to any individual.
So far, we have found no evidence of any wallet private key leak.
We'll share a detailed technical post-mortem once the investigation is complete and every fact is verified - and publish an updated Proof of Reserves once remediation is complete.
What you need to know:
• Your funds are safe
• Binance will cover all losses from the SAFU fund and company funds
• Estimated total impact: ~$6.3B, with ~$3B frozen on-chain so far, in coordination with our blockchain partners
• No evidence of any wallet private key leak
• Deposits are unaffected and operating as normal
What we've done:
• Temporarily suspended withdrawals while we complete a security revamp of the withdrawal service and its related addresses
• Revoked the affected address authorizations
• Engaged law enforcement and blockchain intelligence partners to trace and recover funds
Our team hasn't stopped. We're working closely with law enforcement to ensure the matter is handled appropriately - and I'll share what I can, as soon as I can.

According to Binance Research, on-chain transfers exceeded $100B in Q3 2026, compared with $6B in Q1. Tokenized stock value reached around $1B by mid-September.

لما بدأت الكريبتو في 2023، كنت فاكرة إن أصعب حاجة هي إني أعرف إمتى أشتري وإمتى أبيع… لكن بعد خسائر كتير اكتشفت إن أصعب حاجة كانت إني أتعلم أتحكم في نفسي.
كنت بسيب الصفقة الخسرانة وأقول: «أكيد هترجع»، وفي المقابل أول ما أشوف ربح بسيط أخرج بسرعة 😅
ماكانش عندي التزام حقيقي بالـStop Loss، ولا كنت فاهمة إدارة رأس المال بالشكل الصح، وده خلاني أخسر أكتر من 90% من رأس مالي.
بصراحة، كانت فترة صعبة جدًا، وكان سهل جدًا إني أقول خلاص وأبعد عن الكريبتو كله.
لكن بدل ما أستسلم، بدأت أتعلم من أخطائي.
Binance Square كانت واحدة من الأماكن اللي بدأت منها. بقيت أقرأ أكتر، وأدور على المعلومات من مصادر مختلفة، وأقارن وأحلل بنفسي بدل ما أمشي ورا أي كلام أو توصية.
مع الوقت فهمت إن التداول مش إنك تكسب كل مرة، وإن حماية رأس المال أحيانًا أهم بكتير من محاولة تحقيق ربح سريع.
لسه بتعلم، ولسه بغلط، ولسه قدامي كتير أتعلمه. لكن البنت اللي بدأت رحلتها في 2023 مش هي نفس البنت اللي بتبص للسوق النهارده.
دلوقتي بقيت أشوف حتى الصفقة الخسرانة كدرس، وأسأل نفسي: «إيه اللي كان ممكن أعمله بشكل أحسن؟»
يمكن أكتر حاجة فخورة بيها في رحلتي مع Binance مش المبلغ اللي كسبته… لكن الطريقة اللي اتغيرت بيها أنا نفسي. 💛
رحلتي بدأت بخسارة كبيرة، لكن يمكن أهم مكسب فيها إني اتعلمت ماخليش الخسارة هي اللي تحدد نهايتي.
