A great morning yesterday at Hexcel in Kent!
On Thursday, members of AJAC’s leadership team met with local legislators for a tour of our longtime employer partner’s facility.
We talked about how apprenticeships are making a difference in the Kent community.
Of course, no visit would be complete without getting a firsthand look at the incredible work happening inside the facility.
Thanks to the Hexcel team for hosting us and to our local legislators for taking the time to learn more about the impact of apprenticeships in Washington.
Earlier this week, our Director of Business Engagement, Amy Suter, had the opportunity to speak during the City of Renton’s proclamation of Manufacturing Month.
It’s always meaningful to recognize the work happening right here in our community and the partnerships that make it possible.
We appreciate the City of Renton for giving us the opportunity to share more about AJAC’s apprenticeship programs.
Great job, Amy, and thank you to the @CityofRenton for recognizing the importance of manufacturing in our community!
We’re SO close!
Just $500 left to reach our $5,000 Manufacturing Month fundraising goal.
The support we’ve received from former graduates, employers, families, and friends has been incredible.
Thank you to everyone who has chipped in so far!
If you believe in the power of apprenticeships and the opportunities they create for individuals, families, and our communities, consider donating just $5.
Every dollar counts, and every contribution helps us keep building opportunities for the next generation of manufacturing talent.
Help us hit that $5,000 goal!

What a turnout for our final Employer Roundtable of the year!
More than 50 guests joined us at Umbra Cuscinetti in Everett this morning to talk workforce development, share ideas, and learn what’s ahead for AJAC and our employer partners.
We covered our new FAST Certificate Courses, Open Manufacturing Courses for employees who need training in a specific skill, new offerings coming in 2027, and our brand new employer resource guide to help companies get the most out of their investment in apprenticeship.
10 of experience. New skills. A growing leadership role.
Leana already knew shipping. Through our Logistics Apprenticeship, she learned to see the bigger picture, grew her confidence, and developed skills she now uses to train and mentor others.

Have manufacturing experience and ever thought about teaching? You have the skills and knowledge that can help someone else build a career in this industry.
AJAC is looking for two part-time instructors in Tacoma and Seattle to teach machining or maintenance-related courses.
A big thank you to Kirk Davis and the entire CAMPS team for inviting AJAC to this year’s annual conference!
With manufacturers looking ahead to 2027, workforce development was a big part of the conversation.
A new national report from @jfftweets (Jobs for the Future) highlights a challenge manufacturers know well: the need for skilled workers is growing, and preparing enough people to fill those roles is a serious challenge.

For 18 years, AJAC has been helping Washington manufacturers meet that challenge by building talent from within.
Through apprenticeships, training programs, FAST Certificate Courses, and industry partnerships, we help employers develop the skills their businesses need.
Don't wait for the skills gap to grow. Talk with an AJAC workforce specialist about training solutions for your team.
