Alice Lloyd College Athletics

One of the 14th Region’s standout players is coming back home. After spending the past year at UPIKE, Kyra McAlarnis has announced her transfer to Alice Lloyd College, bringing one of the region’s most accomplished talents back to Knott County. Kyra enjoyed an outstanding high school career, earning a reputation as one of the premier players in the mountains. Now, she’ll continue her collegiate career just minutes from home, where she’ll have the opportunity to make an immediate impact for the Eagles. Everyone at D&D Sports Network would like to congratulate Kyra on this exciting new chapter. We can’t wait to watch her compete back in the mountains. Welcome home, Kyra! #DDSportsNetwork #TransferPortal #AliceLloydCollege #KnottCounty #14thRegion #MountainBasketball

The dynamic Parker Watts has committed to playing his sophomore season at Alice Lloyd College. Watts, who starred in high school at Tolsia and then Martin County, played his freshman season at Kentucky Christian University, averaging 8.9 points and 3.7 rebounds per game. He'll take his high flying act to Pippa Passes where he'll join up with fellow sophomore and former 14th Region Player of the Year Evin Eversole from Hazard. This young sophomore duo should bring a lot of excitement for Eagle fans. Expect a lot of excitement this season on the hardwood at Alice Lloyd when Watts runs the floor. Congratulations to @parker_watts13 on your new surroundings from all of us at D&D Sports Network!
