It’s incredibly frustrating to talk with people who have mistaken political posturing for strategic analysis. Not a single war has been won over the course of human history by shaking your fist at the sky. What’s more…each side has their own moral narrative. And you’re not going to convince them just as they are not going to convince you.

I am grateful to Estonian award-winning filmmaker Kadri Kõusaar for giving me the opportunity to tell my side of the story. From the heart of Africa to the turmoil of the Middle East, and into the fucking mess in Ukraine, life has taken me into worlds far removed from my own - across cultures, borders, conflicts, and realities that most people will never experience firsthand. I have witnessed the beauty of humanity and its darkest sides. I have encountered cultures rich in history, dignity, and resilience, but also people (struggling to survive circumstances no human being should have to face. War is not just something you read about in the news. It becomes brutally real when you see dead bodies lying on tables, when rockets strike and drones fill the sky, and when survival becomes more than a word. Those experiences change you. They challenge your beliefs, your values, and your understanding of the world. Some realities cannot be explained - you have to live through them. I have done good things and bad things. I have made mistakes, faced difficult realities, and walked paths that have shaped the person I am today. I do not claim to have all the answers, nor do I pretend that my perspective is the only truth. But I have a story to tell. A story about Africa, the Middle East, Ukraine, cultural differences, human struggle, war, survival, and the contradictions of a world that can be both beautiful and brutally unforgiving. I am thankful to Kadri Kõusaar for creating the space for this conversation - for going beyond the headlines and allowing a personal perspective to be heard. Because behind every conflict, every border, every ideology, and every headline, there are human beings. People with families, dreams, fears, and stories that deserve to be told. This is my journey. My experiences. My perspective on a complicated world. No filters. No pretending. Just my side of the story. Enjoy. kadrikousaar.substack.com/p/…
The fact that the body exchange ratio is still largely the same as it was earlier this year (around 10:1 Ukraine:Russia) indicates that Russia did not take heavy casualties during Ukraine's counteroffensives near Komar, Dnipropetrovsk, and Lyman. I still do not think that Ukraine is suffering anywhere near 10 times the losses Russia is, as Ukraine was advancing in areas with a lighter Russian presence with less soldiers' bodies to capture, and with much weaker air and fire support to help with this. I still hold that the true ratio is probably much closer to 1:1 than either side wants to admit. The continuation of this 10:1 trend suggests that, apart from the 90+ PoWs captured by Ukraine in the Lyman direction, Russia was likely able to avoid suffering large-scale casualties from the counteroffensives. And this 10:1 ratio remains, despite Russia carrying out very heavy and costly assault operations on other parts of the frontline, especially in the Dobropillya and Orikhiv directions.

Keep in mind for the past 4 days the Lyman sector has been soaked in fog and rain , the fall foliage has also begun, if you see footage in this sector that doesn't have bright yellows / reds / oranges it's out of date.

Regarding air defence activity so far. 4/6 of the Iskander-M ballistic missiles were shot down over Kyiv by Patriot systems. At least 2 Oniks-M supersonic cruise missiles targeting Trypillya Thermal Power Plant were also intercepted. There were only 2 impacts in Kyiv city itself, and 2 at Trypillya. All visually confirmed by me.

The missile launches have begun. The following was launched: ~6 Iskander-M ballistic missiles ~6 Kn-23 ballistic missiles ~4 Oniks-M supersonic cruise missiles ~4 Zircon hypersonic cruise missiles ~20 missiles in total. Dnipro was targeted by 6 Kn-23s, Kremenchuk was targeted by 2 Zircons, Trypillya Thermal Power Plant was targeted by 2 Zircons and 4 Oniks-Ms, and Kyiv (northern and eastern suburbs) was targeted by 6 Iskander-Ms. These numbers are approximate. The missile flight routes are shown on the map.

Vehicle losses have been released for the month of September. Primary credit: @HeyHey_Hayden TG In total, Russia lost 32 vehicles whilst Ukraine lost 175. A ratio of 1:5.5 Excluding Armoured cars/MRAPs, which skew the ratio as Russia hardly utilises them at all whilst Ukraine does so in huge number for transport purposes, Russia lost 32 vehicles whilst Ukraine lost 69. A ratio of 1:2.2 Regarding self-propelled artillery, which is a great indicator of capacity to inflict attrition, Russia lost 7 vehicles whilst Ukraine lost 37. A ratio of 1:5.3 Russian losses are counted by UkraineWarSpotting. Ukrainian losses are counted by LostArmour. Credit to HeyHeyHayden for compiling numbers. Of course, these vehicle losses are all geolocated and only completely destroyed vehicles are counted. There could of course be some mistakes. The common cope that i hear: “But Russia uses only civilian vehicles! Ukraine actually cares about the lives of their soldiers! Civilian vehicles are not counted in this!” Are we still seriously falling for “meatwave assaults” in 2026? A) I have spoken to Ukrainian soldiers that confirm the AFU also uses civilian vehicles in non-combat roles, for transport purposes. Russia does the same. In a war of attrition, cheap but good enough equipment is better than extremely expensive perfect equipment. B) Adding onto that, Russia has a huge domestic war economy which can churn out so many civilian vehicles that it wouldn’t matter how many were destroyed. If Ukraine’s military vehicles such as SPGs, IFVs etc are destroyed, it needs to wait on deliveries from the west. C) If AFU command cared about the lives of their soldiers, the Robotyne and Kursk mass suicides would never have happened. Ukraine quite literally burned through tens of billions of dollars worth of Western vehicles in Kursk oblast alone. D) Even if vehicle losses favoured Ukraine by 2x, this would be nowhere close to the relative attrition needed to be inflicted upon Russia, because of Russia’s industrial capacity. E) Keep in mind that armies collapse long before they are physically out of manpower or vehicles, as per historical examples such as the Germans in WW1 Collapse is induced when overall attrition inflicted reaches a critical point. Drones only mask this attrition and delay the final outcome. Ukraine is obviously far far closer to this critical point than Russia.

I believe the chance of Ukraine's energy system collapsing, although still low, is higher than ever. This winter, even according to Donald Tusk, could be catastrophic. Of course, a collapse of the energy system would cause huge, huge issues at the front.
Russia's strike campaign against Ukrainian energy infrastructure has begun. Overnight, Russia launched at least 18 Iskander-M/S-400 ballistic missiles and Oniks supersonic cruise missiles at Kyiv and Kyiv Oblast, striking the CHP-5, CHP-6, and Trypillya Thermal Power Plants. Large fires broke out following the strikes. Additionally, numerous Geran-4 and Geran-5 jet-drones were used to attack energy infrastructure, including the aforementioned power plants, as well as other targets across Kyiv.

Counting down the top 10 clips of the Ukraine war: Day 2, number 9: Russian Kh-101 cruise missile deploys countermeasures before striking a Hyrdoelectric power station. 22 March 2024 This clip shows a Russian Kh-101 subsonic cruise missile shooting out flares as countermeasures to Anti-Air fire or interceptors as it enters final approach to the Dnipro hydroelectric powerplant, Zaporizhzhya city. The up-close view of the ENORMOUS explosion is what makes this clip worthy of the #9 spot. The missile clearly hits the turbine generator core of the plant itself with pinpoint accuracy, causing an immediate fireball and the flaring of debris to a substantial distance, as the cameraman is forced to take shelter despite being at least several hundreds of metres away. I remember distinctly when this video initially was released, as it was the first time people within the wider information space began to acknowledge the technological capabilities of Russian missiles without dismissing them as “backward” or “worthless”. The visible shooting of flare countermeasures from the Kh-101 cruise missile made people, at least from my perspective, begin to realise that the brave Ukrainian resistance was not dealing with a backward, feudalistic Russia that was operating on sheer willpower, but rather a modern Russia that had adapted to postcontemporary attritional warfare in an undeniable manner regarding its technological capabilities. As such, especially considering the time period coinciding with a rapidly and uncontrollably deteriorating situation on the front at Ocheretyne, the wider public began to acknowledge that Ukraine needed far greater assistance to survive than what had been provided thus far. For the aforementioned reasons, this clip takes the #9 spot as we count down the top 10 most influential videos of the war in Ukraine.

Został on następnie powielony przez portal Hromadske. W Polsce dokładnie ten sam pomysł i narrację powiela kanał Kremlinka. Poniżej przykładowe tytuły ostatnich podcastów na kanale Nacke’a: Spirala śmierci”. Brak benzyny, gnijące zboże, sparaliżowane Wildberries Katastrofa paliwowa / Nadciągają sankcje / Ofensywa SZU trwa / Regionom brakuje pieniędzy USA przyparły Putina do muru / Rekordowe ceny benzyny / Zniszczone 3 samoloty i śmigłowce / Pociski uderzają w Rosję KATASTROFA PSZENICZNA / WYMARŁY KRYM / LUDZIE WYPŁACAJĄ PIENIĄDZE Z BANKÓW / FAŁSZYWE PKB Tyle w kwestii wiarygodności i bezstronności Nacke’a. Przejdźmy teraz do tezy, jakoby gen. Gierasimow nie wiedział o ukraińskiej ofensywie w rejonie Łymanu. Fakty: 1. Obie należą do GW „Zachód”.

This war has created an entire industry of grifters, and I am not only talking about Richard Woodruff. One of the biggest sicknesses this war has produced is the army of so-called “disinformation experts” who have barely been to a war zone, barely spent any meaningful time in Ukraine, and yet somehow appointed themselves the people who decide what is true and what is false. The Finnish sex peddler and the Austrian guy immediately come to mind. Then you have the Lviv and Kyiv war tourists who seem to think that spending a few days in a café in Lviv or Kyiv gives them an understanding of what life is like in the Donbas. A few visits later, they are writing books about Ukraine and presenting themselves as experts. It is fucking crazy. And you know how much disdain I have for propaganda journalists who turn war into a career. You also make a very good point about the couch war generals who have no family members at the front. I honestly believe that 99% of them would look at this war very differently if their own sons or daughters were fighting in it. But there is an even bigger problem: this war has created an entire ecosystem of people whose careers, income, status and relevance depend on the war. They have built their professional identities around it. And that creates a very uncomfortable question: what happens when the war actually ends? For some of these people, peace does not just mean the end of the war. It also means the end of their business model.
Isn't it interesting how 99% of the people who advocate for the continuation of the war until Ukraine recaptures all of it's lost territory live in their comfy homes in safe, peaceful countries? Isn't it curious how almost everyone who shouts "no negotiations with Russia!" don't have their sons or husbands being kidnapped off the streets, sent to the frontlines, and dying or being injured by the tens of thousands per month? It sure is interesting how the vast majority of people advocate for fighting "until the last Ukrainian" don't have their country being destroyed every single day - both demographically and physically. Ask yourself this: Do you support Ukraine and Ukrainians? Or do you just hate Russia and Russians. Do you hate Russia more than you support Ukraine?

“Died a coward. Could have died a hero.” That is how the @mobbs_mentality daughter of Keith Kellogg, Donald Trump’s former special envoy for Ukraine, comments under my post about the death of Volodymyr, 32, who drowned in a river while fleeing draft officers. A representative of the American establishment — someone who sacrifices nothing in this war, whose family members are not being killed, maimed, disappeared, or tortured in captivity — feels entitled to lecture Ukrainian men on the proper way to die. And yes, die is precisely the word. Because apparently, living is no longer an acceptable option for them. They must die. Preferably heroically. Preferably on the battlefield. Then the Epstein class can walk alongside Zelensky, lay flowers on their graves, and deliver stirring speeches about avenging them on Russia — while feeding still more Ukrainian men into the same machinery of death. Volodymyr was a veteran. He had already seen the horrors of war. This time, he did not want to be a hero. He wanted to watch his son grow up. He did not want to die. But people like Meaghan left Ukrainian men like him no acceptable way out. And so he died anyway. And now people like Meaghan sneer at his death because, apparently, the only Ukrainian man worthy of respect is a dead Ukrainian man-soldier — provided he dies the “right” way. Heroically. On the battlefield. A Ukrainian man who simply wants to live, to raise his child, to come home alive? Apparently, that is asking too much.

According to numerous sources, due to a false AI chatbot-generated intelligence report, the US military in the past week almost conducted an operation against a Chinese ship they believed was carrying components of a nuclear weapons program. The US Air Force and Navy had prepared to board the ship and only found out about the illegitimacy of the intel just as the operation was set to begin. Allegedly, the intelligence report was "entirely false", and was the consequence of increasing integration of generative AI into the US military. So, a potential broad conflict between the US and China was nearly triggered because someone in US command utilised generative AI for intelligence assistance...

Lyman/Borova direction, Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts. Following the Russian withdrawal from Lyman salient, Ukrainian forces took advantage of the Russian consolidation of their new lines in order to clear the northern part of Lyman city of Russian infiltrators. In Luhansk oblast, Ukrainian forces continue operations to push the Russians back to the Zherebets river. They successfully advanced into Luhansk oblast toward Balka Zhuravka and from Novomykhaylivka, and continue offensive operations SE and NE of Hrekivka. However, due to the volume of Russian glide bombs visible on sentinel satellite imagery, it is likely that Ukrainian offensive operations in the Luhansk oblast area are not without heavy casualties. Russian forces are seemingly methodically and elastically withdrawing to draw Ukrainian assault groups in and call in glide bomb strikes.

These people do not care about Ukraine. They do not care about the people living here, the families being torn apart, or the cities being destroyed. Some of them probably could not even point to half the cities in the Donbas on a fucking map. I have been here. I have seen these places. I have sat with people who have lost their homes, their families, and everything they had. And then I see people thousands of kilometres away turning this war into a career, a paycheck, and a fucking grift. That is what makes me so angry. To them, this is an opportunity. To the people here, it is their lives. And that makes these people exactly what they are: filthy fucking grifters.
"Anyone I don't like is Pro-Russian" continues. God I'm so fucking sick of being accused of working for each side by both sides. These fucking disgusting people who grift off posting successes for one side and then turn around and accuse neutral mappers of being propagandist are some of the worst people out there.
