He was 31. She was 89 and dying. When doctors said she could no longer live alone, he didn’t look for excuses. He opened his door. Chris Salvatore had just moved into a West Hollywood apartment building when he met the woman across the hall. Her name was Norma Cook. She was 89 years old, fiercely independent, and shared her quiet life with a cat named Hermes. Most people his age would have smiled politely and kept walking. Chris knocked. Norma invited him in for a glass of champagne. That single glass changed everything. They became inseparable. Norma had spent her life surrounded by gay friends, many of whom she had lost during the AIDS epidemic. Chris, an actor and singer, felt instantly understood. They bonded over fashion, food, humor, politics, gossip, and the simple joy of being seen. They drank champagne. Ate peanuts. Ordered pizza. Celebrated birthdays. Sat together like family. Across one hallway, they found what both of them had been missing. Then everything changed. Norma had lived with leukemia for ten years, but in late 2016 she developed pneumonia. She spent months in the hospital, barely surviving. When she recovered, doctors were clear. She could not go home alone. She needed 24-hour care. Her insurance wouldn’t cover it. Her Social Security barely paid rent. A nursing facility was the only option. For Norma, that felt worse than dying. Chris refused to accept it. On Thanksgiving, he started a GoFundMe with one goal: keep Norma at home. Within hours, thousands of strangers donated. The money paid for caregivers, but Chris knew it wouldn’t last. So he made a decision that would change both their lives. He invited Norma and Hermes to move into his apartment. He would be her caregiver. Nurses would help when needed. Norma could stay in the building she loved. And she would not be alone. Norma didn’t hesitate. An 89-year-old woman with terminal leukemia moved in with a 31-year-old actor across the hall. What followed were months filled with care, laughter, quiet evenings, and champagne. Chris cooked for her. They watched the news together. They talked. They sat in silence. They found joy even with the end approaching. Doctors said she wouldn’t make it through the holidays. She did. On February 15, 2017, just after Valentine’s Day, Norma Cook died peacefully in Chris’s apartment, holding his hand. She did not die alone. Chris later wrote, “Norma taught me what love really is. To love deeply, without fear.” Their story went on to inspire a children’s book called My Neighbor Norma. But the real legacy wasn’t the book. It was the choice. Chris didn’t have to do any of it. He chose compassion. He chose presence. He chose to make sure someone mattered until the very end. Family isn’t always blood. Sometimes it’s a neighbor who knocks on a door. Sometimes it’s opening your home. Sometimes it’s refusing to let someone face the end alone. And sometimes, the most extraordinary love looks exactly like that.

Sentiments of Venezuelans I’m going to say this once, and I don’t care if it makes people uncomfortable. If you have never lived in Venezuela If you did not grow up there If you did not watch your country collapse in real time If you did not stand in food lines If you did not watch your parents lose everything they built If you did not have to leave your home with nothing Then shut the fuck up. You do not have an opinion. Your opinion does not matter. And you don’t get to lecture anyone about what’s happening there. I’m Venezuelan. I lived there most of my life until my early twenties. I watched my country go from a functioning democracy to full blown socialism right in front of my eyes. This is not politics to me. This is trauma. Before socialism, Venezuela was not perfect, but it worked. There was trade. There was money coming in. There was investment from the US. There were jobs. There was food. There was medicine. My family had five businesses. We had our home We had investments. We had a future. Then the government started nationalizing everything. Private companies were taken. Foreign investors were pushed out. Imports were blocked. Price controls destroyed production. Corruption exploded. And everything died. Not slowly. Violently. People didn’t suddenly become poor because of “capitalism” or “the US” or whatever bullshit slogan people like to repeat online. They became poor because socialism destroyed incentives, destroyed production, destroyed trust, and destroyed hope. People today in Venezuela are not debating ideology. They are trying to survive. They are trying to find food. Trying to find medication. Trying to keep their families alive. So when I see people in the West posting from comfortable homes, full fridges, stable currencies, and safe streets talking about “imperialism” or “US bad” or “Trump this or that” No. It’s not complicated. You’re just ignorant. China is not rebuilding Venezuela. Russia is not rebuilding Venezuela. Cartels are not rebuilding Venezuela. They are stealing. They are extracting. They are draining what’s left. If the US comes in and reinvests If refineries get rebuilt If infrastructure gets restored If imports open back up If food, water, and medicine become accessible again If people can work and earn with dignity Then yes. Let them take all the oil they want. Because at least something gets built instead of destroyed. This is something to celebrate. Not because it’s perfect. But because for the first time in a long time, there is hope. Hope that families can eat. Hope that people don’t have to flee their country. Hope that Venezuela can function again. If you’ve never lived through a country collapsing If you’ve never watched socialism destroy everything around you If you’ve never had to leave your home because staying meant starvation Then again Shut the fuck up. This isn’t theory. This isn’t politics. This is lived experience. By Stephen Subero

It's not hard to be kind. Love is so much better than hatred.
“Well, my night took an unexpected turn! After finishing my night out, I found myself in the dreaded McDonald's queue. That’s when I noticed the lady in front of me. All she asked for was a cup of hot water. The staff told her no. I couldn’t understand why. Here was a lady, clearly homeless, asking for such a basic human need. For a multi-billion-pound company to say no was just heartbreaking. I couldn’t leave things at that, so I spoke with her and told her to order what she wanted. To my surprise, she only asked for a single cheeseburger. That was it. I bought as much as I could carry to make sure she wouldn’t go hungry. But I couldn’t just let her go, so I sat with her, on the cold hard floor, in the middle of winter. And you know what? I cried my eyes out. When I finally got to speak to her, I was amazed at her story. She was so educated, full of life, and enthusiasm—yet she had nothing. I invited Polly and her friend back to my house, and we cooked enough food to feed them and their friends for the next few nights. We packed it all up in bags for them. Polly and her friend had showers, brushed their teeth, and they both said they had never felt so appreciated. I’m no saint, but this small act of kindness cost me about £20. I know that most people reading this make at least 10 times that in a day. It costs nothing to be kind, and I genuinely hope people share this to raise awareness about homelessness across the UK. I've kept in touch with Polly, and I’ve promised her she will never go hungry or cold again. I’ve given her blankets, pillows, and a backpack full of food. If you see someone on the streets, don’t look down on them like they’re nothing. You don’t know what they’ve been through. Spare a little thought. I don’t care if I look a mess from crying. Polly, you’ve changed me.” ❤️❤️~Credit: Jonathon Pengelly

Truth about Ukraine being withheld from Americans. Watch ⬇️ ‘’Honorable Mr. Trump, my name is Oleksandr Dubinsky and I am a member of the Parliament of Ukraine. However, for the past 15 months I have been unlawfully imprisoned on fabricated charges. My alleged crime was exposing corruption involving the Biden family.’’ ‘’I was the first one who exposed this information in 2019 and I was labeled Russian agent for that. Today, hundreds of people in Ukraine are incarcerated not for any legitimate offense but solely for their political beliefs. Their only guilt lies in speaking the truth, opposing Zelensky's administration and calling for an end to the war.’’ ‘’These individuals are subjected to arbitrary arrests, torture and politically motivated charges of treason with judicial proceedings predetermined to serve political interests. Under Zelensky's leadership, Ukraine has dismantled independent courts, weaponized law enforcement institutions and eliminated fundamental democratic processes. There are no free elections, no independent media and no right to a fair legal defense.’’ ‘’Instead, a climate of fear and repression prevails. Furthermore, during Zelensky's tenure, secret detention facilities operated by the Security Service of Ukraine, SBU, have emerged. These sites have been used for the illegal detention, coercion and torture of individuals to extract forced confessions.’’ ‘’The United Nations has documented the existence of at least one such illegal prison in Kyiv, right in the headquarter of SBU, where since March 2022, approximately 300 individuals, including U.S. citizens, have been held. Among them was American journalist Gonzalo Lira, who was unlawfully detained by SBU officers held under inhumane conditions and later diedin December 2023 following beatings and extortion while imprisoned in the Kharkiv detention center. I have personally been subjected to physical assaults and torture on two occasions in prison in an attempt to coerce me into falsely confessing to alleged connections with Russian intelligence and to admitting that my 2019 expose of the corruption of the Biden family were part of a Russian intelligence operation.’’ ‘’The true objective was to fabricate a false narrative linking your campaign, Mr. Trump, to Russia in an effort to conceal the origins of this operation. These allegations were deliberately manufactured in Ukraine, intended to justify the failed 51 intelligence officials' letter and extend this false narrative into 2024. Ukraine has effectively been transformed into an instrument of political repression and external interference.’’ ‘’President Zelensky and his administration act in the interests of globalist elites, Soros-affiliated NGOs and USAID-funded NGOs and media, systematically dismantling democracy in Ukraine and suppressing political dissent. Nevertheless, I remain steadfast in my commitmentto justice and democracy. Despite my imprisonment, I have filed a lawsuit with the Supreme Court of Ukraine demanding the restoration of constitutional order through the scheduling of presidential elections.’’ ‘’As a Ukrainian citizen, I have also officially declared my candidacy for the presidency. I am prepared to run as a candidate from the Party of Peace and fully support your vision for ending the war. Ukraine urgently requires a pathway to peace.’’ ‘’Mr. Trump, I appeal to you as a leader who has consistently defended the principles of democracy and justice. I am providing a list of political prisoners, though this is only a fraction of those who have been unlawfully detained. I respectfully urge you to take all necessary measures to secure the release of these individuals, as well as all other victims of political persecution.’’ ‘’Their plight represents a critical test of the principles of freedom and human rights. They should be free.’’ #Ukraine #Zelensky

Concerned about our loss of bees, Morgan Freeman converted his 124-acre Mississippi ranch into a bee refuge. He’s hired a gardener, filled acres with clover, planted hundreds of flowering trees, purchased 26 hives, and has turned himself into a bee keeper.
