Should be mentioned that the judgement was not based on whether the court actually found the statements made to be defamatory. It was made based on the defense' failure to provide material evidence being requested of them...

Interesting that Jones offered no defense. Was it: -because he knew he’d lose? -some weird protest of sorts -because his legal team forgot?!? -for legal implications because he’s rather be “guilty by default” than found guilty thru a trial? Very peculiar
