Clever play on the wall by McKenna here, dipping his shoulder as if he's going to beeline to the puck, then stopping higher up the wall to create space to breakout cleanly. He's giving up a lot of size and weight right now, but he's crafty and starting to find his way in battles.

I'm sure some are disappointed that Ben Danford isn't up, but this is the right call to let him keep developing in the AHL. It's still October! To say nothing of making his debut in EDM on a Saturday night would have been quite the ask. Mermis has been a solid veteran depth dman.

Think everyone is expecting the Leafs PK to regress (it would be impossible not to, they are even in goal differential so far!), but the PP has a real chance to legitimately just be this good. Their top unit has 5 real weapons that can all score, and Hiller's a good PP coach.
Two goals against tonight stemming from offensive zone faceoffs, for the Leafs -- has been a lowkey issue all season. Keep getting burned up ice on situations that should not be dangerous at all.
