We got by when I was on maternity pay... With the help of my parents. But apparently less than £600 per month is too much, no worries you have a new born to care for 🤦♀️ bbc.com/news/articles/c781m9…

Considering whether we open the pub tonight. Never thought I'd have to ask the question as to what race the bar staff we have on shift tonight are when assessing the situation. I'm so ashamed we've come to this in 2024.

📢 FESTIVAL ANNOUNCEMENT📢
#BeerisforEveryone Festival is returning as part of our 5th birthday celebration.
Save the date and stay tuned for more updates soon!
Just saw 3 people, out of a queue of 8 in front of me, get turned away at the polling place due to lacking sufficient ID. This system hugely disadvantages those in poorer areas who do not drive or hold a passport #Elections2024

What's that coming over the pot is it a monster? Is it a monster~🎶
I'm just about able to peek over my pot - all the better to keep an eye on what's happening. Seems a bit quiet though - where are all my adoring fans? 😭

This doesn't make any sense. 'People with ovaries' clearly is language based on biological sex, where 'woman' is a gender term 🤦♀️
Replying to @AnnMSinnott
'Referring to “people who have ovaries” rather than “women” will also be prohibited under plans to ensure hospitals use clear language based on biological sex.'
This is unbelievably unpleasant, and that both the author thought it was a good idea to write it, and the paper endorsed his masogyny by publishing it is beyond disturbing
Advice for scholars: next time you lecture on Kant and revolutions at “Downing” (@DarwinCollege) Cambridge, make sure your hair is neatly tied and that you’re not blonde. Or else your research impact will be on the @spectator libido section.

Champagne and claret, gin, lobster and oyster. But the closest thing to a good British ale was James Watt 🤔
