In Idaho, @NASA remote sensing data is one of the tools being used to predict which streams can support beavers and to monitor how water and vegetation change once they return. 🦫
ALT Mesic vegetation persistence satellite data with more vegetation shown in blues and less shown in gray and green. Most of the Baugh Creek area in Idaho is gray or green, with some blue along the Baugh Creek, Little Wood River, and other areas. There is a large blue area where beavers have been reintroduced, indicating there is more vegetation in this area.
