A distinct privilege to meet with H.E. Ahunna Eziakonwa, UN Under-Sec-Gen & Special Adviser on Africa.
We aligned on a crucial shift: moving from strategy design to tangible implementation, positioning the UN as a strategic policy partner leveraging data, knowledge & convening power.
Africa is ready to be a proactive co-architect of the post-2030 agenda, championing human capital, AI sovereignty & industrialization.
Looking forward to advancing our "College-to-College" partnership and warmly welcoming H.E. Eziakonwa to Addis Ababa in Oct 2026

Education in emergencies is not a short-term challenge - it is an ongoing reality for millions of learners.
GCE has launched "Protecting Education in Times of Crisis in Africa", a new study sharing the experiences of learners, teachers, families and communities in Burkina Faso, Chad, DRC, Mozambique, Nigeria, Somalia, and South Sudan.
📘 Read the study - lnkd.in/gkaApRsS
The research highlights persistent gaps in predictable financing, safe and inclusive education, resilient infrastructure, and support for teachers working in crisis settings. At the same time, it documents how communities are acting as first responders, creating temporary learning spaces, adapting schedules, and mobilising resources to keep learning alive.
The study reiterates that governments and donors must move beyond short-term, project-based responses and invest in resilient, inclusive public education systems that recognise communities as essential partners.
GCE has also launched "Learning Under Crisis - Community Voices on Education in Emergencies in Africa", a three-part podcast series featuring community voices from crisis-affected contexts in English, French, and Portuguese.
