Kordell Stewart/Slash: I just watched a documentary about him and many forget he was the person who led the way in for the athletic QBs we see today like lamar Jackson Mohomes etc. BUT back then they kept trying to change him to a WR and when he found a good OC he was great then he left and the 2 OC after just had no clue how to use him- Worst part of the documentary was when he finally was at his peak some COP spread a lie that he had busted him at a park with a gay guy-so back then that was a death sentence so Cower and Rooneys went out and found out to clear his name since he wasnt Gay BUT the damage was done because he felt it was done because they didnt want a Black QB in Pittsburgh and if he had moved to WR it would never have happened. he talsk about all of this and how to this day people will ask "is he gay"

I find it interesting that parents are fine when their kids are hanging 60+ on a team but when it happens to their kids it becomes unsportsmanlike.

My new favorite weekly routine is logging into maxpreps every Thursday morning to see us drop a spot in the rankings. It’s especially exciting after a big win which has happened atleast 4-5 times this year! Add in my fondness for secret formulas and I can’t hide my enthusiasm!

I am kinda getting "fine with" the 80 point run-ups if AIA / Maxpreps aren't going to concisely explain their system or publish the formula. Better safe than sorry. If you are the team getting steam rolled you need to accept why this is happening to your team. Its not personal

I mean what are you supposed to do if they have you as 30 point favorites according to their formula? If you win by 28 you’ll actually be docked points. You’d have to win by 51 to max out your spread margin. And if you onside kick to do it you might get fired.

if you are going to win by 70 then you might as well win by 100

In all seriousness, I find it odd when HCs are blowing teams out by 50 on the reg, but have only QB1(a senior) posting ALL the pass yds for the whole season & no one else (& they have no JV team or like 3 JV games). Wouldn't you want next year's guy in there or QB2 to get reps?

point is, we see these 50-60 blowouts that make no sense on many different levels. But yeah, buckle up for next year with this MaxPreps thing. Now that we've experienced it first hand ... and everyone is (fake-)confused... HCs will leave nothing to chance next year

that's why i think understanding the "spread" number is important. they are keeping qb1 in because they don't know how much to blow out the other team. esp in smaller schools that's usually the time your "next man up" gets his reps.

These "teams" could still blow up the other team with QB2/RB3/WR4&5. I get it, if you DO have a big JV squad and 5-7 JV games. Your underclassmen/QB2 is getting reps elsewhere. But I have seen some where this is not the case. Foolish not to develop 2nd&3rd stringers / SO&FR
