Intelligence is cheap on a machine timescale. Absorption still runs on a human one. Cost parity ≠ absorption. The real race is institutions that can absorb AI vs those that cannot. medium.com/@TheShadowObserve…

AI capability is moving in months. Organizations are moving in years. Closing the Velocity Gap: the economics of that gap, and how institutions can close it. Final essay in the Cognitive Industrialism series: medium.com/@TheShadowObserve…

Your data is local. Is your control? Sovereignty is a capability you have to prove. Owning the infrastructure is not enough. Residency → dependency → jurisdiction → control If one external decision went against you tomorrow, what would still run? medium.com/@TheShadowObserve…

Your data can be local. Your control can still be somewhere else. That’s the sovereignty gap most organisations still underestimate. Digital Sovereignty: The Illusion of Control medium.com/@TheShadowObserve…

Black October. 48 hours. PHP RCE hitting ~70% of the web. CA keys cracked (one was just “4”). Student records stolen. Hosting platforms breached. AI agents hacking companies at scale. Retail giants offline. This isn’t a normal week in cybersecurity.

Move over UX. Meet MXE: Machine Experience Engineering. AI agents need interfaces designed for how they actually reason and act — not just APIs wrapped in MCP. Don’t just prompt the agent. Engineer the experience it operates through.

Took a minute to write a few words about security & safety as someone who lived through it all at OpenAI. I hope my thoughts help someone out there.

Building the foundation of the AI economy.
Today, with over 100 industry partners, we introduced the NVIDIA Open Agent Safety Platform, bringing together OpenShell and Sentry. Artificial intelligence is extraordinary technology that will advance discovery, productivity, security, health, and prosperity for generations to come. But its full promise can only be realized when people have confidence that AI is being built to be safe and deployed with wisdom and responsibility. This is bigger than a single product. It's the beginning of an open ecosystem to build the trust layer for safe agent systems. Together, we are building the foundation of the AI economy. Trust and innovation are not in conflict. Safety is how trust is earned. We must build not only the most capable AI, but the most trusted AI, so that this extraordinary technology can realize its enormous promise for the world. nvda.ws/4hcoq7m

Culture is not what an organization says it values. It is what people learn to expect. What happens when you speak up, disagree, make a mistake, or ask for help? A new essay on trust, psychological safety and the culture we build every day. medium.com/@TheShadowObserve…

Here’s to the wanting. Here’s to the dreaming. Here’s to everyone.

Anyone tried chatgpt.com/maps yet? I’m curious: if ChatGPT can understand what you’re looking for, why would you still search for places the old way? Game changer or just another map? What’s your take?

The danger is not technology. It’s technology without accountability. Capability without oversight. Decision-making without transparency. #AI must be shaped by humanity, with humanity and for all humanity. medium.com/@TheShadowObserve…

"mission is to ensure that artificial general intelligence benefits all of humanity"
People outside the AI labs should have a real say in how this technology develops, and a clear way to judge if it's happening safely. Standards should help prevent the concentration of power, including by making sure new companies and open-model companies can compete. They should also help countries and companies compare evidence and learn from failures. We think the US should lead this effort. Here is our proposal: openai.com/index/building-st…
