A lot of “right wing” influencers on here were more upset about Ali Khameni dying than they were about Charlie Kirk getting assassinated.

When you remember that the classic STAR TREK SHOWS were able to crank out:
STAR TREK: THE ORIGINAL SERIES - 3 seasons, 79 episodes (1966–1969)
STAR TREK: THE NEXT GENERATION - 7 seasons, 178 episodes (1987–1994)
STAR TREK: DEEP SPACE NINE - 7 seasons, 176 episodes (1993–1999)
STAR TREK: VOYAGER - 7 seasons, 172 episodes (1995–2001)
STAR TREK: ENTERPRISE - 4 seasons, 98 episodes (2001–2005)
A TOTAL OF 703 EPISODES ACROSS FIVE SERIES IN 39 YEARS (1966–2005)...
...the idea that MASSIVE STREAMERS like Netflix and Amazon can only produce 8-10 episodes of GARBAGE TV...
...followed by 2-3 year hiatuses...
...becomes even more pathetic, doesn't it?

Folks, let’s talk about Sir Patrick Stewart for a minute.
What a tremendous actor. He brought so many memorable characters to life in Star Trek, X-Men, Dune, and A Christmas Carol. I want to highlight a few of my favorite performances.
First, there’s Professor Charles Xavier. I’m a huge X-Men fan, and Patrick Stewart IS Professor X to me. He was brilliant throughout the original trilogy.
X-Men: Days of Future Past was fantastic, especially the reconciliation between Xavier and Magneto at the end. He had the best ending possible. My favorite line was when he said: “Oh, dear God, no.”
But his performance in Logan was something special. It was heartbreaking seeing Professor Xavier in that condition. I do wish his death had been handled differently, though. I would have loved to see one final emotional moment between him and Logan, perhaps with Xavier telling him, “I love you, son.”
One of my favorite lines in the movie was: “Logan, somebody has come around.”
Then there’s Captain Jean-Luc Picard in Star Trek. Another iconic role that I can’t imagine anyone else playing quite the same way.
He also delivered an excellent performance as Gurney Halleck in Dune.
And his version of A Christmas Carol is my favorite adaptation. He makes an excellent Scrooge, and I watch it every year!
I wasn’t particularly impressed with his appearance in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. He came across as a confused and scared old man.
I’m thankful his final appearance as the character will be in Avengers: Doomsday rather than that being his last outing. I hope Marvel gives him a respectful send-off.
One thing I’ve always found amusing is how Patrick Stewart seemed to look almost exactly the same for decades!
On a more personal note, it’s especially sad to hear about his battle with Alzheimer’s. My grandmother had Alzheimer’s, so that news hits close to home.
In 2015, he defended a Christian-owned bakery in Northern Ireland (Ashers Baking Company) that had refused an order to bake a cake supporting same-sex marriage.
Patrick Stewart leaves behind an incredible body of work. From Professor X to Captain Picard to Ebenezer Scrooge, he gave audiences characters that will be remembered for generations.
My favorite line from him is: “Just because someone stumbles and loses their path, doesn’t mean they are lost forever.”
Thank you for the memories, Sir Patrick. You will be missed forever. Til All Are One🖖

I've said it before and I'll say it again, there need to be laws against filming people for content in public without consent.
People profiting by filming others misery needs to end.

The outpouring has been huge for Walt.
Why?
It was 11:35pm, he’s stocking shelves to support his 4 children. He wanted to be with them.
He also shows immediate kindness when the prankster asked him what time it was. Not knowing he’s being setup for an online prank by the fool.
This is a portrait of a man of grit.
That resonates with more people than anything any politician has said in the midterm campaigns.
He’s hanging on by a thread like most families are.
Thankfully, millions of folks are rallying behind Walt because they identify with his plight.
Sadly, the uber-wealthy politicians on the beltway in DC do not.

What gets me is how when he’s asked for the time he’s immediately helpful, and even offers a smile towards the cameraman when he thinks he’s just confused or something. The guy is about to come apart at the seams, but you’d never know unless you pushed him like this rat did. I hope his fundraiser breaks $1M and he has a peaceful holiday season with his family.
