Ryan Coogler explains the backstory behind Smoke & Stack in ‘SINNERS’
“They killed their father, hid out at Mary’s mom’s place, then went to New York and joined the military. Went to fight in France and they went back home for a little bit, Mary was older so that was when Stack and Mary happened…
It was like a 3 year run where the twins had basically broke up; Smoke and Annie got their house & Stack and Mary went to Little Rock. When they lost their daughter was when things got rocky, they both basically left their partners and went to Chicago”

I'm absolutely sure this Brooklyn comic book store guy gave him to read Aaron's Punisher MAX, but I can't prove it.

It's so stupidly obvious, yet no one talks about it, but DDBAs1 both STARTS and ENDS with Matt and Karen at Josie's talking about Foggy.
And the contrast of complementary colors in orange and blue lighting, goddamn

Superman for adults, fantastic 4 for kids. Superman had a more relevant storyline, more emotional pull, better villain, twist ending that was earned, better music, and better cast. F4 was a fairly formulaic movie where it never felt there was real risk and the villain was defeated way too easily esp relative to their strength. Punchline, Superman was great, F4 was good.
And for the better for me with #Thunderbolts and @Superman being absolute masterpieces this year ! 🖤💛
