Iranian officials appear increasingly concerned about the growing popularity of exiled Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi inside Iran: The Mashhad Gold and Jewelry Union has officially banned the sale and display of gold items featuring symbols from the Pahlavi era or the iconic Lion and Sun emblem. The union warned that violators will face disciplinary action.

Iranian authorities have banned the display and sale of jewelry and coins bearing the Lion and Sun emblem or imagery associated with the country's former monarchy in the city of Mashhad.
The Mashhad Gold, Jewelry, Silver and Coin Dealers' Union said the order, issued on instructions from the police department responsible for supervising public establishments, covers bracelets, pendants, necklaces and commemorative coins featuring the symbols.
"Under instructions from the Department for Supervision of Public Establishments, the sale or display of any gold, silver or coins ... bearing images of the Pahlavi dynasty or the Lion and Sun is prohibited," the union said in a notice published on its Telegram channel.
It warned that any violations would be dealt with in accordance with regulations, without specifying the penalties.
Mashhad is home to the shrine of Imam Reza, the eighth Shiite imam, and is the hometown of Iran’s Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei and his slain father.

Concerns are mounting over the imminent execution of Abolfazl Ebrahimi and Amir-Hossein Maleki, detainees of the January National Uprising, after their families were summoned for final visits at Isfahan’s Dastgerd Prison.
They face execution in the coming hours following sham legal proceedings.

A coordinated mass-reporting campaign backed by the Islamist regime in Iran has been targeting Iran-based, anti-regime, pro-Pahlavi accounts on X, leading to their suspension.
Many of these accounts are eventually restored, sometimes after days or even months, because the reports against them are baseless. But the damage is already done. Suspensions, especially repeated ones, can completely derail an account’s growth, reach, and ability to communicate.
This is a deliberate, coordinated attempt by the regime to manipulate and control the Iran narrative on X.
It is essential that @X and @Support investigate this abuse and take action against accounts engaged in systematic, meritless mass reporting of dissidents.
This is particularly urgent for dissidents inside Iran. They are risking their lives to tell the world what is happening in their country. They should not also have to fight coordinated efforts by the regime to silence them on X.
