Well, that is disappointing. In line with expectations, but disappointing nonetheless.
MPs voted to remove Clause 13, which requires a statutory review of shared ownership, from the Social Housing Bill.
We provided written evidence in support of Clause 13, and will publish updates on our position soon.

Leasehold now carries so much negative baggage that buyers are rejecting it in droves. The properties themselves may be fine but the surrounding scandal and backlash has now poisoned demand. The Leasehold system left unchecked will become so toxic that it's unsalvageable.

Legal battles in housing aren’t equal.
Without legal support, residents face experienced teams who do this every day — and it shows.
This is about access to justice.
