Don't be afraid of negative space.
Not every inch of your photograph needs something happening in it. Sometimes giving your subject room to breathe makes the image stronger. #photography
Shoot through things.
Doorways, windows, leaves, and even people can create interesting foreground elements that add depth to your photographs. #photography
"The craft beer community is basically one big small town. Everyone knows someone who knows someone."
Pay attention to your backgrounds.
That tree growing out of someone's head? Not ideal. Check what's behind your subject before pressing the shutter. #photography
"Craft beer has taught me patience, appreciation, and how to spend $9 on something that disappears in 15 minutes."
Stop shooting everything at eye level.
Get low, climb higher, or move a few feet to the side. Sometimes changing your perspective makes a bigger difference than changing your lens. #photography
A little throwback to a photoshoot I did with CERA.!
This shoot was all about showcasing the catering side of their business.
Big thanks to the CERA team for having me in! If you're planning an event, definitely check out their catering options.
Another round of headshots! 📸
This time, I had the opportunity to photograph the team at @bangorsavings.
Big thanks to Nick Dyer for having me come in & capture some fresh headshots of him & the rest of the crew. Always appreciate the opportunity to work with great people
A beautiful, intimate ceremony at Pemaquid Point Lighthouse, surrounded by the Maine coastline and the people who matter most.
No big production, no unnecessary fuss. Just two people getting married in one of the most beautiful spots in Maine.
Hard to beat a setting like this!
Good lighting beats expensive gear.
A $500 camera in great light can produce better results than a $5,000 camera in terrible light. Learn to recognize good lighting before buying more equipment. #photography
A good headshot goes a long way! 📸
Whether you're updating your LinkedIn profile, refreshing your website - it's always worth having a few professional shots on hand.
I offer laid-back headshot sessions for individuals & teams.
Occasionally I get hired to capture a surprise proposal, & they're always to photograph!
Here's a little throwback to one from last winter. There's something pretty special about getting to capture a moment like this without one person having any idea what's about to happen
"Your favorite beer doesn't have to be expensive, rare, or highly rated. It just has to be your favorite."
