The first time I played FF7 I chose Aerith pro options because those were the correct choices for Cloud. The second time I played the game I chose pro Tifa options just to see what would happen. And Cloud chooses Aerith regardless. Rebirth is no different really.

Tifa fans don’t want to acknowledge the theme of the OG and the Trilogy because it would imply that Aerith lives on in some way. And goodness forbid she does because that would also imply a romantic relationship with Cloud. That’s why their takes are wrapped in insecurity.

I don't want to sound rude, but it blows my mind that there are people who genuinely believe the only reason the FFVII Remake trilogy exists is because the writers didn't like who the main character ended up with IN THE STORY THEY WROTE and decided to make 3 games to change that.
